We Americans didn't risk the horror of nuclear war in our epic struggle with Communist Russia (the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) so that we could become a United Socialist States of America. This is not our future destiny. It is not the American Dream or way of the wise and enlightened Founders. For our way is individual liberty not economic tyranny, redistributionism and collectivism as represented by Barack Obama and the 111th Congress. In trying to deceive or drag this center-right nation into the socialist future Obama and the Dems are going to ignite a mighty populist backlash that will sweep them from power and crush their radical creed. This is why Obama is President. Why Pelosi, Reid and the Democrat Left control Congress. What we are witnessing is the last hurrah for New Deal/Great Society/1960s Counter Culture Liberalism-its final day in the sun before it crashes and burns and disappears from history.
The President is a man of forgetfullness and the Congress is filled with forgetful politicians leading a sleeping nation to a rude awakening that will derail and wreck their socialist schemes and renew America's character, spirit and conservative destiny. Economic and social turmoil at home and war and upheaval abroad. This is where Obama and the Left are leading America and the world and why they are doomed.
The coming demise of Obama and the Left was propehtically anticipted by Ted Kennedy's LEFT-sided brain seizure on Armed Forces Day last May; and again on Inauguration Day when he ominously collapsed shortly after Obama bungled his presidential oath: a sign of a bungling president to be with contempt for constitutional norms and coming failure to protect and defend this country from its domestic and foreign enemies. The signs are clear: THE APOCALYPSE OF THE LEFT IS NEAR. And it's going to be a catastrophe.
The question is how far is Obama willing to go to implement his radical agenda? How audacious and daring will he be? How ideologically certain is he that he has the solution to “A More Perfect Union,” to social and economic injustice and inequality? How determined, fanatical and reckless is he? How much of Bill Ayes and Reverend Wright is in his soul? How much of Frank Marshall and Sol Alinsky? Quite a bit I believe; more than Obama is willing to show.
Obama, I believe, plans to seize the time, make the most of this historical moment and go for broke because the stakes are so high. In the wake of 9/11 George Bush told the world “You’re either with us or against us,” in the war with Islamic terror. Obama’s unspoken message is similar: ‘all or nothing,’ 'no half measures,' ‘socialism now, today, in our time or never.’ And never it shall be for it won’t happen here. Socialism is not America's political destiny.
Could Obama be willing to sacrifice everything for his dreams? Willing to impose his agenda by force if necessary, giving us the very despotic presidency that the Left feared from Bush? Will there be blood in the streets, fighting and mayhem like in the late 1960s, with Conservative America fighting for its life against a Leftist tyranny? Or will the Left rise up violently against a massive Conservative blacklash and revolt ignited by Obama's radical agenda? Will there be civil war in our streets along ideological lines with the Left attacking the Right? Will the Leftist "Days of Rage" return with violence, bombings and the like? I hope not. But with Obama at the helm dark days of division, tumult and strife are ahead.
The tragic presidency of Barack Obama is now unfolding; a failure that will be more spectacular than LBJ who killed Cold War Liberalism; more pathetic than Jimmy Carter who killed the American spirit with malaise; more criminal and devious than Richard Nixon who abused his power and trampled on the law. More stupid economically than Herbet Hoover who fathered the Great Depression with high taxes, deficit spending and crippling regulations. All that is bad in our worst American presidents is summed up in this foolish, ill-starred, blundering man who is fully given over to the totalitarian temptation craving power and control to fill his empty soul and make real his destructive vision of the good. That is what we’re up against, my friends; this is the challenge before us with an enemy who wants to collectivize America and will fail. In this struggle we shall prevail just as we did over the menacing and more formidable Soviets-and the other enemies of freedom we‘ve defeated in the past.
Ronald Reagan didn't take a bullet to the chest and live on to defeat the Soviet Union so that America would eventually succumb to the radical Left led by an anti-Reagan leftist President.
Just as we defeated Soviet communism and ended the Cold War so now we'll defeat its counterpart here at home, and bring an end to the ideological war with American freedom and constitutionalism triumphing in the end. In the end we shall pravail with no little thanks to Barack Hussein Obama a man stumbling and blind lurching his way to bitter defeat against a populist, resurgent rising Right.
Postscript
On March 5th, the 44th day of the 44th President-the day that Obama lied to America about the causes of the financial meltdown to push his radical big government agenda-it was the 62nd anniversary of Winston Churchill's famous Iron Curtain Speech, and the 56th anniversary of Joseph Stalin's death*. As Stalinist Russia was defeated by the Winston Churchills of the world-and especially by the American Right led by Ronald Reagan-so will Barack Obama and his revolution go down in flames following the totalitarian masters of Soviet Socialist Russia.
*Churchill's historic speech was delivered in Fulton, Missouri on March 5, 1946 in the presence of President Truman. Amazingly, and not, I believe, coincidently, Stalin died exactly six years to the day on March 5, 1952. This was a Providential sign that the Truman Doctrine would prevail over the terrible house that Stalin built and the communist menace would be defeated everywhere.
