The perfect image of Obama's nanny state: Diana of Ephesus (upper) goddess of the many breasts usurping Lady Liberty (lower) who modestly hides her breasts while holding high the torch of freedom for all to see. For liberty is our most important quality, the source of human dignity, progress and the American Dream. But not for Diana of Ephesus, those oval shaped things hanging from her chest are manifold teats in the form of pomegranates, a sweet fruit sacred to the goddess. Is this not a perfect metaphor for the compassionate, all caring welfare state? Can there be a better symbol? As socialism is the great false deity of this age what divinity can better represent it than an obamanable pagan mother goddess with outstretched arms welcoming all to take suck; promising to nourish and protect everyone and everything under the sun; everything that has life and being; every man, woman, child and beast. For Diana is the all caring Queen of Socialist Heaven, guardian and protectress of women, the poor, the oppressed and lower classes; adored by PETA, radical feminists, class warfarists and Marxist humanitarians (see note 1).
Come one, come all
Into Diana's warm embrace;
Let her enfold you and love you
As you suckle on her breasts;
It's delicious, good and free,
Her milk flows inexhaustibly,
Costing you nothing more dear
Than the price of your liberty.

1. Diana was guardian and protectress of animals, women, the oppressed and poor. Also known as Lucifera (light bearer) Diana was Queen of Night and goddess of the moon, a celestial body that borrows its light from the sun the great symbol of freedom, independence and hope, the light of which beams from Lady Liberty's torch-now being eclipsed.
