Here's a sight I never thought I'd see Jewish atheist Paul Krugman with his hands clasped in prayer begging merciful God that America Europeanize or Canadianize its superior healthcare system which allows for too much freedom of choice and availability of services. Unless the system is fully nationalized, politicized and bureaucratized-directed by those who can't profitably run the Post Office (now $3 billion in the hole)-with waiting lines, rationing and some untreated patriots dying sacrificially for the greater good; unless we end discrimination in favor of the old and herd everyone into Medicare (despite the $30 trillion short fall) and overwhelm the system with 12 million illegalnistas (taxing the system to the breaking point), how then can we consider ourselves a civilized and compassionate people setting an example of healthcare justice for all? With America so close to joining humanity and entering the realm of healthcare nirvana now you know why Krugman has suddenly got religion.
