Why is Obama so obsessed with criticizing America and improving its image in the world? Why has this become the centerpiece of his foreign policy, the soul and substance of the Obama Doctrine? Because it's a reflection of his malignant narcissism and belief in his great self-worth.
Obama cannot tolerate so much hatred and ill will for America while he is president-especially in the Moslem world where he has family roots. He relentlessly apologizes for America's misdeeds (real or not) and criticizes the policies of his predecessor to separate himself from them; to let the world know that he's a new and different kind of president; that his presidency mustn't be confused with America's past sins and those of George Bush.
Obama believes that he is a groundbreaking pioneer, a NEW AMERICAN for a new century; the American of the future, the American all of us should ideally be; the forerunner of a new race of IMMACULATE BEINGS: untainted, unstained, sin free, innocent of all American wrongdoing; free from racism, sexism, warmongering and imperialism; from American arrogance, immorality and crime. Obama believes that he is better, greater and holier than we and he wants the world to know it; he wants everyone to know who he truly is, that he lives on a higher moral plane than we, in a a state of consciousness transcending our consumer and materialistic values, our frivolous petty, selfish individualism; our greedy way of life that eats up an inordinate share of the world's resources while heavily polluting the earth's atmosphere.
In short, Obama is ashamed of our country, it's history and culture are an embarrassment to him. The America Obama loves is an abstract idea in his far-reaching mind bearing little resemblance to concrete reality. Obama may be President of this country but he's not really of this country; he may live among us but is not really one of us; he may say that he's patriotic but patriots love their country as it is and have no revolutionary aims. The divide between Obama and America is our greatest fault and challenge and why we need radical, transformational, top to bottom change. America needs to close the gap and be made over in Obama's sublime image, America must become worthy of him, made good, pure and noble like Obama himself. In a word, America needs to be Obamanized and become The United States of Obamaland. Only then can America be saved from itself and the world from America. Only then will America be a true force for peace, justice and good in the world; only then will we be loved again.
Postscript: Is Barack Obama a Patriot?
Whenever Obama speaks about America or finds occasion to praise her does he inspire you with a surge of pride or patriotic feeling? Do you feel any love of country or emotion at all? The answer is no, you feel nothing. Why? Because Obama has no national pride, feels no patriotism, feels no real love of country for the reasons stated above. Love of America, its traditional principles, values and ideals, is not in Obama's heart or mind or being and so he communicates nothing to warm you with patriotic feeling. The America that Obama loves is an idealized image of this country in his mind; and nothing outside that image has any real meaning, value or reality for him. Such is the case with all Utopians who live in the revolutionary future, the fantasy world of unachievable things. In defining the word patriotism I'm sure Obama would have agreed with the singer Paul Robson, the black American Communist, when he said: "Patriotism means never being satisfied with your country." And such is the curse of the revolutionary leftist who is doomed to die dissatisfied like Robson never having realized his impossible dream.
