As Obama deftly played the race card to get elected president, fully exploiting and taking advantage of that sentimental disorder called "white liberal guilt," the catastrophe of his presidency will do the trick of curing us of this folly. After Obama the next black president will have won office because of his experience, knowledge and character and not because of a media created image that exaggerates his virtues and hides his faults to fool the public.
Postscript: The Ultimate Expiation of White Liberal Guilt
When Evan Thomas of Newsweek gushed to Chris Matthews that "Obama was a god elevated above the world" this was an outlandish expression of white liberal guilt carried into the realm of liberal political theology where deifying Obama becomes the ultimate catharsis and expiation for past transgressions and racial sins.
It appears that equalizing blacks and whites is no longer satisfying for liberals as this has gone on for sometime with stunning results-with Obama's presidency as the crowning achievement. Now guilt ridden liberals have to deify a black man and worship him as superior to themselves and all creation to feel atonement, absolution and peace. It has gotten that absurd, pathetic and extreme.
As liberals have placed the salvation of themselves and their bankrupt creed in Obama's inept and bumbling hands his failure will be their undoing and fall. After four tragic years of Barack Obama the age of liberalism will be over; it will be finished with and done; and a new and glorious chapter in our country's heroic history will begin.
