If Saul Alinsky were alive today he would have had multiple orgasms on Election Day with the historic victory of Barack Obama. For Obama is an Alinsky Stealth Socialist (A.S.S) conniving to undermine, pull down and socialize our “unjust,” “polluting,” “oppressive” capitalist system by sneaky, underhanded, deceptive means. Indeed, Election Day would have been the happiest moment of Alinsky’s radical life; a day he would have likened to the Russian Revolution, believing that Obama, his faithful black disciple from his home town of Chicago, was the new American Vladimir Lenin; and that his dream of a bloodless socialist revolution in America had finally come.
ALINSKY, OBAMA AND THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION
Saul David Alinsky was born January 30, 1909* to Russian Jewish immigrants in Chicago 18 years before the Russian Revolution. Barack Obama who hails from Chicago was born August 4, 1961 approximately 44 years after the start of the Russian Revolution**. While Obama’s Alinsky Revolution is stalled in its infancy due to public opposition to his radical policies it is fascinating to note that the number of days separating the births of Alinsky and Obama are exactly 19,179***-the year 1917 when we drop the last 9; the year when Lenin and the Bolsheviks seized control of Russia in what was to be the greatest failed social experiment in human history. Indeed, just as the Russian Revolution replaced czarist rule and a democratic government with an oppressive totalitarian state so is such a tyranny in America the ultimate aim and objective of Alinskyism and Obama’s statist administration. Many conservative commentators have warned about Obama’s hidden totalitarian agenda, a careful, cautious Alinsky revolution by degrees. And they've been proved correct by Obama’s ideological intransigence on health care reform with a public option or any reform which massively increases government control over our lives****.

POSTSCRIPT: BARACK OBAMA AND THE DEATH OF THE UTOPIAN DREAM
Seven months into Obama’s presidency and Alinsky wouldn’t be so glad as the revolution is being stymied and derailed (a victim of its own recklessness and contradictions*). For this would be conquering Caesar who pledged to “remake, transform and unite” America (organizing us into a national community) has been stopped from crossing the socialist Rubicon (
see); stopped and stalled in midstream by growing public fear, outrage and dissent over his programs, policies and deceptive plans; stopped dead cold by a center-right nation opposed to rising deficits, taxes and state control of their economic and medical lives. A movement of pro-liberty Americans is spreading across the land, a civil protest of right reason, restraint** and freedom against fiscal insanity, insolvency and tyranny; a movement unheralded and unforeseen that has put the White House on the defensive, and that the Alinskyites in Congress are powerless to defeat by bloodless democratic means.
*A radical leftist president trying to impose statist control on a center-right nation that distrusts government and loves economic freedom. Alinsky’s moment for radical revolution is when the masses “feel so frustrated, defeated and lost, so futureless in the prevailing system” that they’d be dying for radical change and government solutions to save them. Alinsky's revolutionary moment isn’t here and wasn't here when Obama took office, which means that the Obama Revolution of "fundamental and foundational change" was premature and doomed to fail from the start (see Postscript II) .
**Restraining Federal spending.
At this point in Obama's revolution Alinsky would be frightened for the socialist future; frightened that perhaps the time wasn’t ripe for a radical left wing presidency and Congress; frightened that the Obama presidency, with Pelosi and Reid in the House and Senate, was premature; or that Obama was the wrong man at the right time in history. For Obama's falling painfully short of the expectations that he raised during his campiagn, and the standard set by Alinsky for a revolutionary leader: the great charismatic personality who exudes confidence, power and vision; who enthralls the masses with his rhetoric and bends them to his will. For Barack Obama is not such a man: he’s charismatic light with an incoherent vision and projects weakness, cluelessness, confusion, uncertainty and drift. By now Alinsky’s image of Obama, the fantasy view of a national and world redeemer held by millions during the campaign, would be badly shaken as he fails every test of character and leadership and sinks like a stone in public esteem.
Indeed, by now Alinsky would likely be disillusioned with Obama; he’d likely be moaning that the revolution is imperiled and Obama, the messiah of hope and change, could very well be its worst and most dangerous enemy-setting back by generations all the progress that’s been made in radicalizing the government, the universities, the media and culture. No, Alinsky’s jubilation on Election Day would likely have evaporated by now as doubt and gloom set in that he’s lived his life in vain; and that in the collapse of Barack Obama he’s witnessing the triumph of democratic capitalism, the founding ideals of this republic, and the death of the Utopian Dream.

If Alinsky's revolutionary moment of utter economic, political and social chaos occurs when Alinskyite's are in power they will incur the blame and the radical Alinsky eco-communist statist Left would be finished and go down the drain.
