"There has been no civilization in the history of the world that can match Western Civilization for violence. There is just no comparison.
But let's look at some other items. If a conservative was writing a Bible on the war on terror, the beginning of the book of Genesis might read like the following:
"In the beginning was 9-11"
The problem was 9-11 was a response to far greater and more prolonged violence. 2 of the reasons for the 9-11 attack on civilians are the sponsoring of Israeli violence against Palestinian and Lebanese civilians and the sanctions against Iraq. The former has been taking place for decades while the latter killed hundreds of thousands of children and, of course, that does not include the number of adults who were killed by the sanctions.
And just as 9-11 was preceded by western violence, so was the Beirut attack on the Marines and US Navy ships shelled Hezbollah positions the day before the attack.
Certainly all of this violence was wrong but we should note that those whose hearts are captured by greed and violence take their own behavior for granted while taking exception to the actions of their adversaries. To that extent, both sides are only half right."

In the beginning was the prophet Mohammed a monster of intolerance, a mass murdering terrorist thug, who declared war on mankind in God's name and set into motion a long train of events that led to 9/11. If The state of Israel didn't exist 9/11 and 3/11* would have happened all the same as Al Qaida are global jihadists aiming at the overthrow of the international order to establish a one world Moslem state-promised by Mohammed as the end of history. Toping bin Ladin's list of grievances motivating his jihad on 9/11 was the loss of the Ottoman Caliphate whose collapse was preceded by centuries of steady decline. The Ottomans chose to fight on the losing side in World War I and that put an end to them. They have no one but themselves to blame for their demise.
*The real cause of 3/11 was Spain freeing itself from Islamic rule centuries ago. Islamic Law holds that any land that is conquered by Islam eternally belongs to Islam; and if it frees itself from Islam, like Spain did, then Islam has the divine right to terrorize it until it is reconquered.
Bin Ladin has no real grievances, no more than Hitler had. Like Hitler bin Ladin is driven by ideology a twisted diabolical primitive world view shaped in the 7th century by the murdering mad prophet of Mecca in whose path he faithfully walks. Bin Ladin is a good and faithful Moslem upholding in word and deed the Koran and Moslem Law whose aim is world domination-the utopian goal that he and al Qaida kill for.
Bin Ladin would have been a bloodthirsty, psychopathic jihadist killer in whatever age he was born from the 7th century to the 19th before the birth of Zionism. Islam is the cause of his evil deeds, Pax Islamica is the vision that he lives for.
As for Western Civilization a tree is judged by its fruits and the intellectual, moral, scientific, cultural and political fruits of the West (with America at its head) is the treasure house of the ages and mankind's greatest gift.
