OBAMA'S SHAM JOBS CREATION PLAN

In yesterday's Brooking's speech on job creation Barack Obama told the nation that his administration is making history by spending its way to economic recovery*. Claiming that he saved us from depression and ruin he said that he was "laying the foundation for lasting economic growth" meaning we are now on the way to full employment and unending prosperity. If this were true and Obama believed it then why did he attack George Bush and the Republicans? If the economy was rebounding and truly on the mend than why does he continue to blame them for the mess? Why the finger pointing, bitching and complaints? Normally those making progress in fixing a mess would be trumpeting their success, not blaming those who caused it as they are insignificant. But not Barack Obama, all he does in speech after speech is blame, complain and kvetch.

*This has never been done.

Compare Obama to Ronald Reagan. From the moment the Gipper took office he took responsibility for the sick economy he inherited from Carter, the mess of stagflation, of double digit unemployment, malaise and inflation. When the economy grew  worse in 1982 and the media blasted Reagan and his Supply-side plan not once did he complain or blame Carter and the Dems. Such pettiness wasn't in him; the Gipper was too big than that. But Obama is no Ronald Reagan he lacks his wisdom, character and good sense. Unlike Reagan he's enacted policies that's prolonging the mess. After billions spent and a staggering debt there is no real recovery; it's as false as the boom that preceded it and Obama won't face up to it.

The problems that caused the financial crash have not been solved. The economy is dangling at the end of a thread over an abyss kept there by Geithner, the Fed and Obamanomics. Seeing another meltdown the banks are sitting on their cash unwilling to make loans. The bull market on Wall Street is a non-earnings boom. Non financial corporate profits are down; and the major banks are broke showing their profits while hiding their loses with the blessing of SEC*-Enron execs were jailed for this. It's another bubble of overpriced stocks, and ballooning debt, ready to explode on Obama's head.

*The stress tests back in March was a sham to make the banks look healthier than they are.

The recession's not receding*, there's no end in sight and Obama needs scapegoats. Blame Bush, Republicans, Fox, Rush Limbaugh and now George Gallup; blame highly paid execs, while doing nothing to reform Wall Street, the banks, Bernanke and the Fed. Obama is empty of ideas and is at his wits end. All he knows is how to barrow, tax and spend hoping for a miracle, hoping against hope it will jump start an economy he continues to crush with his policies. Obama's new jobs plan is a total sham; it's another shell game with tax breaks on payroll and capital gains that he takes back with Cap and Trade, Obamacare, the EPA and VAT.

*If this were a normal business cycle the recession would have been over three months ago. This is the longest recession since the end of WW II because of the Great Depressor's insane budget busting spending policies and the spirit of uncertainty and confusion he has brought to this land.

Coldly detached without energy or enthusiasm Obama ended his speech on a note of false optimism : "These have been a tough two years," said a somber Obama. "But the storms of the past are receding. The skies are brightening. And the horizon is beckoning once more."

Emotionally the Great Depressor was unable to rise to the level of his words. A rain cloud speaking of the Sun couldn't sound more glum. This was the speech of a man whose horizons are closing in, who is almost undone. For there's no brightness, no light, no confidence in him; no faith in America's future; no hope for his glorious dreams; no second term for his failing presidency. The massive failure of government is at hand! The storms of the past are gathering strength as Obama leads us into dread.
