I was not deceived by Obama's Nobel Prize speech; his radical agenda is failing; he's tanking in the polls and needed to sound mature, presidential and pro-American to win back public support. Like his recent jobs' summit in Washington and subsequent town hall meetings Obama turned the Oslo event into a big PR show for the folks back home. It's nothing more complicated than that*. If the economy was recovering and Obama's poll numbers were high he would have given a very different speech. Smart as he was to try reinventing himself as the muscular defender of America-acknowledging the good we have done in the world-it will do him and his party little good. For Obama is pursuing a domestic and overseas agenda that is leading to national turmoil and global upheaval. Early in his speech Obama said that "No one is the prisoner of fate." "No one" that is except Barack Obama a fatally flawed man with tragedy in his genes.
*Obama referred to himself using the word "I" 35 times in the speech because it was entirely self-serving. Obama titled his speech: A Just and Lasting Peace, when it should have been called: I Just want my Presidency to Last for Eight Years.
Postscript: The Phony Liberal Warrior
With good reason Obama mentioned JFK in his speech several times; for the gutless radical unAmerican leftist now wants to be seen as a patriotic liberal-warrior, a nationalist in the FDR, Truman, JFK mold*. But the immature Obama hasn't become a full adult; he's not a neo-con who's been mugged by reality; this is political desperation, not a sudden transformation. Obama can wear the mask of a JFK type war leader from now to next Holloween; in truth the Michael Jackson of American politics lacks the head, heart and stomach for this role and our enemies and allies from Putin to Sarkozy know it.
Postscript II: Obama's False Defense of the Pax Americana
In today's speech Obama for the first time acknowledged the indispensability of American power in keeping the peace and stability of the world for the last 60 years. But this was completely disingenuous and part of his phony reinvention and show. Let's not forget that in three major foreign policy speeches Obama condemned as morally wrong America's superior place in the world. In Cairo, Moscow and at the UN he set out a vision of universal equally with the words: "any world system where any nation or group of people is exalted above, or dominates, any other is doomed to fail." Meaning the present US centered unipolar system is a moral failure and must be destroyed by diminishing our great power and national wealth which Obama is systematically doing with his bankrupting economic policies, healthcare, energy and Cap and Trade plans; this is the real Obama Doctrine-the world as it ought to be-the naively dangerous egalitarian vision driving his domestic and foreign policy. Obama's sudden, surprising contradictory defense of the Pax Americana is a bit of political triangulation designed to confound and silence his critics and make him look normal and mainstream. While Obama praises America with one hand he's tearing it down with the other going so far as threatening command and control draconian regulation of our land, sea and air and carbon based economy-a recipe for national disaster. Obama is a reckless leftist lunatic liar living for the fantasy of an egalitarian one world order; living for the unAmerican vision of humanity put in chains, the ideal to global serfdom realized and attained (see
