A source close to the President tells me that on top of his holiday reading list is an advanced copy of a soon to be pubished book by ex-President Jimmy Carter called Zombie Leader's Survival Guide with an introduction by Manny Zalaya.
From the day he mistook the oath of office and bungled its hallowed words Barack Obama has been on the fast track to a failed one term presidency. Obama is a Zombie Leader, a politically dead man walking whose trust deficit with the public is reaching federal deficit proportions. If America is not in an economic depression (just yet) Obama, the Great Depressor, has plunged us into a psychological and moral one with most Americans believing that he's steering us domestically and globally on a hazardous course; a course that ensures our national decline and the end of America as the world's only superpower, and Last Best Hope of Mankind. What a blow to Obama's image and prestige as a great historical figure and Nobel Prize winner; the candidate of hope and transformational change becoming as President the cause of hopelessness, despair and loss of national faith; all occurring within the incredibility short space of a record breaking 11 months. Never has a President fallen so far so fast from the height of his inaugural. What a shame. What a shame.

I argued that Obama had neither the mental or moral virtues of a transformational leader; I divined mystically from signs and reasoned logically from common sense that his promise of "fundamental and foundational change," of becoming the founding father of a new United States, "a more perfect union*" as he called it following Lincoln-would crash and burn and get nowhere fast. Comparing him to FDR and Ronald Reagan, two transformational presidents, I said sarcastically but not untruthfully that Obama, the real Obama, the man behind the messianic mask, the man I saw early in the campaign, was a mental and moral midget; a small-minded, ill-starred mouse of a man-the greatest hoax in American political history (see)-unfit to be president, unfit to command, fated to lead our nation into peril.

Elsewhere I rightly predicted the quick collapse of Obama's presidency by saying that his "fall from grace would be as swift and great as was his precipitous rise (see)." And here we are only 330 days into his shrinking presidency and Obama's job approval rating is in the doldrums, sinking like a torpedoed ship at sea-the worst and lowest rating of a one year old presidency in US history. This is not an accident or could have been otherwise. For "character is destiny," as Heraclitus said. And of all of God's creatures to sit in the White House Obama is the poorest: the least experienced, qualified, competent and wise-suffering from what Socrates called "the worst kind of ignorance; the two fold ignorance: the ignorance that we are ignorant*." Never in our amazing history has God and the people given so much power to a man of so little worth; to a greater ignoramus and fool, a leader from hell who is here to shake us and shock us and wake us up-which is the secret of his presidency.

Obama is suffering a crisis of confidence and leadership, he is rutterless, adrift and directionless; but don't take it from me; what do I know? I'm just a biased right winger with an ideological ax to grind, so I'm told. Listen to a voice from the left, read this article by HuffPo's Taylor Marsh about the chief executive who can't bring himself to lead a "Democratic Senate that lacks moral purpose" and crashed the cause of left-wing healthcare reform* unwilling to stand firm like Howard Dean and shaming the memory of Senator Kennedy who died, so it seems, in vain*. *From the viewpoint of the Democrats who politicized Kennedy's death trying to turn it into a martyrdom for healthcare reform, he died in vain (see and see).
Postscript: What is Obamacare?
By healthcare reform Obama actually meant healthcare revolution: a single payer nationalized government takeover of the private healthcare system. His means to the great end of socialized medicine was a healthcare bill, any bill-no matter how bad, insane or fiscally destructive-so long as it had a public option. As the president himself said: "Without a public option there is no real healthcare reform." Meaning that any legislation lacking a public option, or some form of it, is not a true reform bill, it is not truly Obamacare, it's not transformative or revolutionary and is therefore a defeat and Waterloo for Obama. It was Joe Lieberman who single-handedly defeated Obamacare, socialized medicine, total government control*. For this the Senator should be awarded the Duke of Wellington Prize given to him on the Senate floor by Jim DeMint.
*Ironically it was Lieberman who was Obama's primary mentor when a freshman in the Senate.
