The liberal media couldn't have dreamed up a better (or more obamanable) image than this to symbolize the coming catastrophe of liberalism. For the age which began with FDR and the New Deal is ending with the tragic presidency of Barack Hussein Obama and the ultra-left liberals that control Capital Hill.
The Democratic Party has become an unwritten, alternative counter-revolutionary constitution at war with the Declaration of Independance and the Constitution of Liberty written by the Founders under the guidence and inspiration of the Almighty. A false constitution of "inalienable" man made positive rights: of invented, nonexistent human entitlements (healthcare, housing, etc.) that rob Peter to pay Paul out of misplaced compassion for the poor. An unwritten law of well meaning fools that posit rights based on moral wrongs; wrongs that stand justice on its head and is driving us to national bankruptcy, the collapse of our military and the triumph of aggression, tyranny and evil in the world. This is the epic struggle we are in. The struggle of liberty and civilization fighting the forces of ignorance, darkness and bondage both without and within whether liberalism or Islam; the political and cultural civil war that will decide once and for all America's future course and destiny and the outcome to the war with our totalitarian enemies.
However, the chances of victory have never been greater because the enemy within, the leadership in Washington, the troika of Obama, Pelosi and Reid, has never been blinder, stupider and crazier. The liberal dream of an Entitlement Society, of social and economic justice for all in an egalitarian paradise-a society wonderful in theory but impossible to fund-is crashing to the ground brought down by its fantasies, imbecilities and contradictions.
The Entitlement Society (the Utopian Dream, Obama's "More Perfect Union" not Lincoln's free market scheme) is turning into a national nightmare collapsing into chaos and ruin; driven into insolvency, exhaustion and depression by the destructive fools who control our universities, the media, the Congress and White House. The lunatics whose days in power are numbered; who are alienating the American people in droves; who soon will be no more.
After 76 years, about the same length of time of Soviet Russia's birth and death*, we have reached the end of the age that began with FDR**. The Age of Liberalism is over, it's finished with and done. And a new and glorious chapter in our country's heroic history is about to begin.
*From the Russian Revolution in 1917 to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 was 74 years.
**What began with the last Depression will end with the next Depression a period of discipline, learning, correction and cleansing when America will recover its national soul, constitutional norms and true destiny.
Postscript I: Obama on Today's Senate Vote
This morning Obama hailed today's Senate vote on healthcare reform as an historic achievement linking it to legislation on Social Security and Medicare-two liberal programs crashing into fiscal exhaustion and bankruptcy. And to memorialize the event and sear it into our national memory Obama took one question from reporters about our troops and then ran away like a jack rabbit glad to be out of there.
Postscript II: The Beginning and End of Big Government Liberalism (Revised).
For those who dabble in astrology it will interest you to know that Obama and FDR are exact polar astrological opposites. Obama was born under the sign of Leo and FDR under Aquarius close to 180 degrees in direct opposition. Could be that this is merely a coincidence. Could be it's a sign indicative that Obama, FDR's polar opposite, is facilitating an end to the counter-revolution in governance begun by the New Deal-as Obamunism is the New Deal on steroids recklessly taken to a destructive extreme undreamed of by the more fiscally sensible Roosevelt. Could it be that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are providentially wrecking the house that FDR built? The Age of Liberalism will be over when its illusions about government are finally exhausted.
*Pelosi and Reid were born during FDR's presidency.
