Why would the genius of the ages, a man who knows it all having all the answers to our woes, condescend from the heights and meet with Republicans to learn from them? What could they possibly teach him? Why did he go? To show he wasn’t scared of the big bad GOP? To shame them with his smiles, lies, hypocrisy and phony hypnotizing charms*? Is that why he came?
The first lie of the day was that his failing stimulus plan was finally working based on inconclusive data needing revision that the economy grew by 5.7% last quarter. The preliminary evidence shows that consumer spending was down from the quarter before-last quarter covered Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years-and more than half of the “growth” was from businesses ordering product to restock their shelves. This is not a sign you can hang your hat on. But not for our White House Tinker Bell. For him it foretells a robust economic turnaround, a vindication of his plan, despite negative news from the CBO of long term double digit unemployment and weak GDP growth (

The second Obama lie was that his stimulus plan was all job creating substance and no money wasting pork; a whopper if there was one that needs no further thought.
The third lie, and I’ll stop right here lest I bore you to tears, was his claim: “I AM NOT AN IDEOLOGUE.” The man who believes that America is fundamentally and foundationally flawed needing transformation from head to toe is not an ideologue? Give me a break! This is up there with Bill Clinton’s “I did not have sex with that woman.” This mother of all lies gives us insight into Obama’s real reason for attending the meeting: It was a PR stunt to put Republicans on the defensive by making them look like the real, rigid, unbending ideologues; and himself as the moderate, reasonable, compromising pragmatist seeking common ground. It’s called pivoting to the center without moving an inch. Fooling the public with new smoke and mirror tricks. May be, he hopes, if he repeats it enough something will stick. In coming Townhall meetings, speeches and road trips we will hear this incredible shrinking man bitterly complain that ’I met with the GOP and they refused to triangulate with me so stuck are they on ideology. Because of them nothing can get done. They have practically shutdown Washington.’
*When I say “phony hypnotizing charms” I mean a magnetism artificially induced and caused by a psychic trick Obama learned from Rev. Wright (he has it too) which I wrote about in Obama Mahara Ji: The Secret of Obama’s Hypnotic Powers (
see). Fascination with Obama’s superficial mesmeric powers (called by some Obamanosis) is wearing thin as it soon did with other false, entrancing messiahs of history.
