It was the Roman poet Virgil (following Terence) who said: Fortune favors the bold, and Obama, the new Obama, agrees. Obama appearing at the Republican retreat at Baltimore opens a new chapter in the saga of Barack Hussein Obama. It definitely was a brilliant move and PR coup with Huffington Post likening the event to Daniel entering the lion's den with Obama mauling the Republican lions and elephants (
see ). And all the folks at Morning Joe agree that Obama's timid girlie man days are behind him and that he bested the GOP*. Gone unreported by the press was that Obama was factually wrong and intellectually dishonest throughout the event (political correctness and factual incorrectness go hand in hand). But Obama's boldness was the thing. And today's news that the US in defiance of Beijing is moving ahead with arms sales to Taiwan, to punish the Chicoms for lack of cooperation on Iran**, reinforces the emerging image, the rising phoenix from the ashes of January 19, of a tough new bold Obama fighting to save his collapsing dream of big government triumphant over everything. In truth, Barack Hussein is no prophet Daniel. He's got as much foresight as David Paterson has eyesight. In reality Hussein Obama is a Darius or Nebuchadnezzar wanna be*** like Saddam Hussein whose intransigence made Obama what he is today: President wanting to be a venerated King.
Let Obama be as bold as he wants
