The militant emblem of the supremacist Moslem Brotherhood
This mustn't be ignored. It is a warning sign. A sign as certain as sundown before nightfall. Fears of a Moslem Brotherhood takeover of Egypt if Mubarak falls isn't groundless alarmism. It is the certain outcome if we err. The choice right now is clear: It's either Mubarak or the Brotherhood. There is no middle way.
Despite appearances to the contrary. Despite a popular, spontaneous, grass roots revolt ignited by unemployment, inflation, poverty and oppression against a dictatorship that falsely promised open elections and reform the choice is between a relatively moderate pro-Western secular regime or radical, murderous, implacable Islam. It's either Mubarak or Islamization; either the unsavory status quo or 1979 Iran; either the Shah or Khomeine all over again. It's that real, that simple, that unequivocally clear.
It's not that Egypt was the country that the Shah fled to and died in when deserted by the US. It's not that Obama the Stupid, Obama the Lame, Obama the Fool was elected on the 29th anniversary of the Hostage Crisis in Iran and does nothing while the mullahs build the bomb and fund radicalism worldwide; it's not that he obsequiously bowed to the Saudi King before the world then delivered a fawning speech in Cairo practically proclaiming himself Defender of Islam in Chief. Apart from the signs that I cited about the Carterization of US foreign policy under this incompetent man there is the sign of Mubarak himself. The sign of his birth. The sign that he was born in 1928 the ominous year that the Moslem Brotherhood was born. Born just two months from the day that the Brotherhood's founder* foretold a new age of Islam's return as a conquering world power: the restoration of the Caliphate after Ottoman Turkey's fall. The renewal of a deadly faith with unlimited aims that was allied with Nazi Germany and assassinated Sadat. That Mubarak and the Brotherhood were born two months apart is no accident of history-they've been enemies from the start. It is a Providential sign given to simplify our choices for this critical time when catastrophic errors can be made. Radical Islam capturing Iran, Gaza and Lebanon must stop there. It cannot go on without devastating consequences for everyone. "The Rise of the New Era of Islam" proclaimed in expansionist, genocidal, fascist Tehran (the world center of Islamic terror) mustn't become a reality. If it comes to pass there will be hell to pay for the West, the US and humanity.
*The Muslim Brotherhood was founded by 22 year old Hassan al-Banna in Ismalia, Egypt in March 1928, two months before Mubarak's birth on May 4. At the founding al-Banna declared: “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our constitution, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations."
Note to reader:
When I say that it's either Mubarak or the Brotherhood by "Mubarak" I mean the power structure of the pro-Western, secular Egyptian state.
