Like the hapless Herbert Hoover (forerunner of the New Deal and father of the Great Depression) Barack Obama is a stuck on stupid, unfit to command, big government ideologue with a destructive truth and reality problem that's dooming him to a bitter one term presidency.
In a pervious piece I wrote that the number
13, the number of American colonies that declared independence in 1776 and defeated British tyranny, is a numeric symbol of liberty in US history. Being such it is an inauspicious number for big government leftist ideologues who wanting to undo our revolution and constitution and spread the poison of state dependency and control (that soft tyranny which hardens over time) rob us of our rights and dignity and economic freedoms. And such has been the story of Barack Obama throughout his deceitful, ill-starred, freedom destroying presidency. For since the Senate's passage of the stimulus bill on February 13, 2009* the number
13 has been signaling the failing of Obama's ambitious agenda to remake and transform America into a social justice welfare state modeled on the failed European paradign. And yesterday's terrible, duplicitous speech was no exception.
*The first Friday the 13th of that year.
Indeed, coming just nine days after the launch of his reelection campaign on the 43rd anniversary of Martin Luther King's assassination (
see and
see ), Obama gives a speech on the looming debt and deficit crisis on a terribly inauspicious day. For the
13th day of April was also the 8
13th day of his presidency* (the
13th number of the 800 series). Moreover, the speech began at the
13th hour of the day (exactly
13:48 pm**) on the 26th month of his presidency-26 is a multiple of
13 twice.
It doesn't get more ominous than this.
*January 20, 2009 to April 13, 2011=813 days.
**13:48 pm or 1:48 is a variant of the number 13, hence: 1+4+8=13.
But strangely, amazingly, and possibly prophetically, the 8
13th day and 26th month of Obama's presidency was also his
116th week in office. This number is significant and most likely prophetic of a failed reelection campiagn in that it gives us the date 11-6 or November 6, the date of the 2012 election.
Now yesterday Barack Obama, the most fiscally reckless and irresponsible president in US history (George Bush on crack cocaine*), called for raising taxes on the rich (the employer/productive/jobs creating class*) during a severe recession to bring our burgeoning federal deficit and debt under control. Ominously, the last president to raise taxes on the rich during an economic crisis was the progressive Republican Herbert Hoover* whose economic stupidity and big government plans (Coolidge called him a senseless man) plunged the nation into its worst and longest depression in history. Oddly, the hapless one term Hoover, the 31st president, is
13 presidents removed from Obama**.This underscores Obama's kinship with Hoover and that his presidency will come to the same sad end.
*Raising taxes on employers hurts employees and raises the cost of doing business for consumers.
**31 + 13 = 44.
In sum, yesterday's empty, misguided, medacious speech, which childishly insulted Paul Ryan and the GOP as un-American destroyers of this country's social contract, will do nothing to advance Obama's reelection dreams as his uncertainty causing, growth crushing policies (like Hoover's soak the rich agenda) can only make things worse. Yesterday's speech was but another sign of Obama's coming defeat in 2012. A sign that on January 20, 20
13-the
13th year of the 21st century-a new President will be sworn into office with the Congress (the 1
13th) fully controlled by Conservative, freedom loving, fiscally sober, pro-American Republicans.
Postscript: The Real Herbert Hoover
An admirer of Teddy Roosevelt's progressive agenda and government activism Herbert Hoover came from the progressive, activist, big government wing of the Republican Party. Many of his big government programs (public works projects, wage and price controls, overtaxing the rich, etc.) anticipated New Deal Liberalism which was an expansion of Hooverism and its follies. Because of Hoover's belief in government intervention as the answer to economic woes, and the inequities caused by unfettered, unregulated, free market capitalism, Franklin Roosevelt in 1920 urged Hoover (at the time unaffiliated) to seek the presidential nomination of the Democrat Party with him as VP. That Hoover was a "meanhearted," do nothing, budget slashing, laissez faire conservative is laughable, unhistorical leftist nonsense. In fact, in 1932 FDR ran as a fiscal conservative on a balanced budget platform against Hoover's "ruinous" deficit spending (Keynesian) policies to jump start the economy and put America back to work. In truth, Herbert Hoover has more in common with Barack Obama than he does with Paul Ryan and most members of today's GOP.
