The only thing I have to give is fear itself to scare you away from the GOP and reelect me in 2012.
An unmistakable sign that the era of New Deal/Great Society/Counterculture Liberalism is over, that it's bankrupt like the treasury and coming to an end, is the contrast between FDR and the Sixties born, fatally flawed, unfit to command, Barack Obama (laughably called the "New FDR" by Time Magazine).
In 1933 a newly elected Franklin Roosevelt facing a depressed and troubled nation with millions jobless, hungry, broke and scared inspiringly said to their gratitude and cheers, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." His unshakable faith in America's future resonated with their sense of national optimism, greatness and pride. He connected with them and they loved him for it and he was rewarded for his leadership with three more terms-unprecedented in US history. And though FDR's great faith in America proved useless for ending the Great Depression (he had the right attitude but wrong solutions) it carried us to victory in World War II and turned us into the Superpower of Liberty-FDR's true mission and destiny.
But now Barack Obama fearing defeat in 2012, with no domestic achievements to boast of, tells a troubled nation in steep decline (and frightened to death by his deficits and debt) that the only thing they have to fear are Republicans resisting tax hikes on the rich-causing nonpayment of Social Security checks to seniors who'll go broke and hungry. How pathetic that it's come to this. But this threat is being met by yawns and jeers as Obama's whopping lies and demagoguery have lost their sting. Over 900 days in office and Obama continues to fall, sinking in public esteem with nothing on the horizon to rescue him save Hillary.
The greatest Liberal of them all.
Midgetman.
From a larger than life pro-American liberal President inspiring a nation in crisis to bravely endure and conquer fear to an incompetent, feckless, leftist pip-squeak fearmongering the folks for political gain (with little faith in America or love for them) what we're seeing is the crack up of Big Government Liberalism and the Death of the Utopian Dream. Hold tight to your faith in God and Country my friends, these next 16 months will be harrowing with Obama and the Statist Dems crashing in the end.
Postscript I: The Best Stimulus for the Economy
Let's not be deceived. Obama is neither serious about spending cuts to put us on a sustainable fiscal path, or tax hikes on the rich for more government revenue. He just wants the debt ceiling raised so he can continue his stimulus spending spree to avoid a double dip recession and revive our sluggish economy (
see). In 2008 the voters gave Obama a shovel ready job and he's since dug us (and himself) into a ditch; for all this imbecile knows how to do is dig baby dig and spend us into oblivion. Obama is a ball and chain around the US economy, "and the best economic stimulus," as one writer says "is to end his growth killing presidency."
Postscript II; Obama's Lame Threat
"Eric, don't call my bluff. I'm going to the American people on this," said a testy Barack Obama to Eric Cantor at yesterday's stormy White House meeting on the debt ceiling. If Obama was half the great communicator that Ronald Reagan and FDR were, and had an iota of credibility on the deficit, debt and the economy with the public this would be cause for concern.
Postscript III: The 13h Day of July
Yesterday, the
13th day of July, frustrated Obama ominously said as he abruptly walkout of negotiation talks with Republicans that " this could bring down my presidency, but i won't yield ln this." As
13 is the number of LIBERTY in American history and antithetical to Obama's economically oppressive Statist regime it is fascinating to note that yesterday was also the 904th day of his presidency-904 being a varient of the number
13 (9+4=
13). Moreover, yesterday was 482 days to Election Day. Now it so happens that 482 signifiacantly is a factor in the numbers 1928 (4x) and
19762 (41x). 1928 and 1976 were the years that Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter won the presidency, both men being two of the worst one term presidents in US history.
All in all, July 13 was another bleakly inauspicious day for president cry baby.
