Mamta Popat Firefighters unfold a large American flag recovered from ground zero after the 9/11 attacks, outside the entrance at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church for the funeral of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green on Jan. 13, 2011, in Tucson, Ariz. Green, the youngest victim of the Tucson Massacre, was born on the day of the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001.
To paraphrase the words of Michelle Malkin "Pre-9/11 (or 9/10) people live in a world of politically correct make believe, where Moslems are the world's worst victims of the villainous, colonizing, exploitative capitalist West; where terrorism against us springs from their humiliating victimhood and need for justice and revenge; and sensitivity to their sufferings and making amends (by hugging and kissing them and praising their faith as a way to peace and justice) trumps national security and a strong foreign policy and defense (see)."
Indeed, the pre-9/11, 9/10 mindset is the appeasement mentality gone insane. Blinding themselves to the terrible reality of Islamic history going back to its bloodthirsty, power driven, delusional founder (to centuries of aggression, mass murder and war where millions of innocents died) 9/10 people treat 9/11 as a horrific anomaly (as the exception to the rule) when it fits into an ancient pattern of injustice, evil and imperial control. And dangerous as it is to our national security and free way of life this see-no-evil-in-Islam mindset rules the thinking of Barack Obama.
Now in all fairness to Obama he has come a long way in his education on national security in the War on Terror. Adopting many of the counter-terrorism policies of his predecessor he has won praise (however cautious) from many conservative hardliners like D*ck Cheney and Don Rumsfeld. Indeed, while serving as president has made Obama wiser to the realities of Moslem terror he still falls short of George W. Bush our greatest national security president ever, and model for all future chief executives. Indeed, lacking Bush's intense, laser like focus on counterterrorism Obama still has too much of the 9/10 sensitivity and appeasement mentality toward Moslems to replicate Bush's record in keeping us safe in the post-9/11 era. Obama just can't shake the idea that Moslems are the world's worst victims and deserving of compassion and special treatment (see); and he'll go out of his way to avoid offending them, even if it puts US lives and treasure at risk. This is evident in many ways: from his dismantling of the necessary and effective enhanced interrogation program-a keystone in the structure of Bush's national security system that kept us safe for seven years, and led to the death of bin Laden-to refusing to link the words "Islam" and "terror," as recently happened when two US airmen in Germany were killed by a Moslem gunman (see).
Indeed, however much he's bridged the gap separating him from Bush on national security Obama is still too weak on fighting terror in comparison, which makes us vulnerable to another horrific attack. In short, unless Obama completely closes the gap and becomes a national security president like Bush we are likely to suffer another 9/11 in the next year or so.
Now I'm not making this warning because of the specific, credible, but unconfirmed threat uncovered recently by Homeland Security to car bomb attacks in New York or DC tomorrow-this isn't the first high alert threat we've had. I'm making it because of a deadly event that's already occurred as a warning; I'm making it because of the Tucson massacre when six Americans last January were fatally shot and 13 others injured at an innocent political gathering at a shopping mall. For as we shall see this awful tragedy was an unmistakable sign warning Obama and his leftist base about the terrible consequences that's likely to spring from their weak-on-terror, pre-9/11, see-no-evil-in Islam ideology.
Let me explain. On that horrific day that shook the world a 9/11 child Christina Taylor Green (one of 50 in America) was among those murdered by insane gunman Jarrod Laughner. Now a gunman killing a 9/11 child would have no meaning or significance for national security, or be a warning to Obama about his mentality and policies, except for the ominous, frightening, mindboggling fact that he, the killer, was born SEPTEMBER 10TH*, born one day short of 13 years before Christina Taylor's birth.
*Laughner was born September 10, 1988 excatly 30 days after the founding of al-Qaida in Pakistan on August 11, 1988. Was this timing an accident given his killing of a 9/11 child?
As the 9/10 mentality of the Clinton and early Bush administrations led to the 9/11 event and 3000 dead so I believe is the murder of a 9/11 child by a 9/10 born killer emblematic and ominous of atrocities to come if Obama doesn't wizen up and adopt the Bush national security model in its entirety.
But there's more, much more indicating the badly flawed nature and weakness of Obama's counter-terrorism policies. For the shooting took place in Tucson (called "the birthplace of al-Qaida in America (see)") a city with a close knit Arab community, and linked to al-Qaida by having been its central hub in the US (see). Indeed, Tucson was the one time home of Wadih El-Hage an indicted co-conspirator in the bombing of two US embassy in Africa; and to Wa'el Hamza Jelaiden, co-founder with bin Laden of al-Qaida. But more ominous still is that Hani Hanjour, one of the 9/11 hijackers, made his home in Tucson when in 1991 he migrated here from Saudi Arabia (see). Could it be that the next massive Koran inspired terror attack is being planned in that town by an al-Qaida cell, or some other terror group hidden within its Moslem community? Or could it be that Arizona's porous borders with Mexico is the danger? (Keep in mind that securing our borders was the concern of Gabby Giffords, Lauffner's primary target (see)). Indeed, in late March 2009 we may have received warning signs of a massive terror plot using biological weapons originating from Mexico when Air Force One buzzed Ground Zero and frightened New Yorkers into thinking the city was under attack again (see)*.
