Saudi Crown Prince Sultan and Ambassador Al-Jubeir.

The death Friday in New York of Crown Prince Sultan Al-Saud, the Saudi DEFENSE MINISTER and heir to the Saudi throne, coming just hours after our hapless president announced the ill-fated withdrawal of US troops from Iraq (and ten days after revelations of an Iranian plot to kill the Saudi US Ambassador) is ominous of the deadly chaos coming to post-"occupation" Iraq, and to the unstable, violent, ugly, dysfunctional, insane Middle East (see).

It is interesting to note that Prince Sultan (father of the modern Saudi military) played a leading role in Saudi Arabia's involvement in the 1991 Gulf War against Iraq; and that Ambassador Adel Al-Jubeir (targeted by Iran for death) celebrated his 17th birthday on the very day that Ayatollah Khomeine returned to Tehran from exile to start the transformation of his country into an imperial, Islamic terror state*.

* Al-Jueir was born February 1, 1962. Khomeine returned to Tehran on February 1, 1979 (see).

The Saudis are already fighting Iran in a Sunni vs. Shia proxy war over Syria and Bahrain, and are trying to woo Hamas away from them. Upon US troops leaving Iraq this war will spread there- terrible sectarian violence will again rear its horrible head overshadowing the bloodshed of 2006. The Middle East is on the brink of a monumental transformational catastrophe that will completely discredit Obama's foreign policy and end his presidency in crushing defeat.

I'll have a great deal more to say on this subject in the days and weeks ahead. But for now this much is clear:
