Reminiscent of the return of the Ayatollah Khomeine to Tehran radical Sheikh Rachid Ghannouchi is mobbed by followers upon his return to Tunisia after 22 years in exile.
Tunisia is where it all began, a movement to revolutionize the entire Middle East-that even spread to America in the Occupiers of Wall Street. A 26 year old street vendor named Mohammed, harrassed by police for not having a permit to sell his goods, sets himself on fire and Tunisia and the region are ablaze with cries for Democracy, Freedom and Human Rights. But yesterday the cause for liberal democracy in Tunisia suffered a terrible blow when its liberated people massively flocked to the polls and voted into power the "moderate," once banned, Islamic Al-Nahda (Renaissance) Party (
see). Pro-Iranian, pro-Hamas, anti-US/Israel Al-Nahda (Ennahda) was founded by the infamous radical cleric Sheikh Rachid Ghannouchi (the Ayatollah Khomeine of Tunisia) long time member of the subversive, supremacist, anti-Western Moslem Brotherhood. The Gazaization of Tunisia is at hand as democratic elections vote the enemies of peace, justice and freedom into power. Yeah, the Arab Democratic Spring is off to rip roaring start. It's a real European type Renaissance. Next stop Egypt and Libya.
You can read about Sheikh Ghannouchi here and here, if you can stomach it.
