Prepare yourselves for what looks like the worst and most disastrous year of the Obama presidency. In a number of past blogs I wrote about the mysterious number 13 (symbolic of AMERICAN LIBERTY) and how profoundly antipathetic and inauspicious it is for this anti-capitalist, stealth socialist, big government president with his unAmerican contempt for the Constitution and collectivist (economy busting) vision for this country. In one of my early blogs I predicted that the Senate's passage of Obama's monstrous stimulus bill, passed on the ominous date of February 13, 2009 (the first of three Friday the 13ths of that year*) was indicative of its inability to fix the economy and would be politically damaging to Obama and the Dems. Now, unfortunately for Obama (as if starting his reelection campaign on the anniversary of Martin Luther King's death wasn't bad enough (see)) this new year of 2012, like his first blundering year in office, has a triple set of Friday the 13ths-but with this significant and ominous difference: they are precisely 13 weeks apart*. You heard me. January 13, April 13 and July 13, the three Friday the 13ths of this year, are equidistant and spaced apart by exactly 13 weeks**-a phenomonon that last occured 28 years ago (when Constitutional Conservative Ronald Reagan was President and successfully ran for reelection) and won't happen again until 2040.
4-13-2012 to 7-13-2012 = 91 days, or exactly 13 weeks.
BTW, 91 is a multiple of 7 13x.
It is utterly mindboggling and fascinating to note that since the founding of the Republican Party in 1853 every GOP presidential candidate running against a Democratic opponent for election or reelection in a year like 2012 (with a triple set of Friday the 13ths separated by 13 weeks) was the victor. These years and elections are as follows:
1860: Lincoln defeats Buchanan (incumbent).
1888: Harrison defeats Cleveland (incumbent).
1928: Hoover defeats Alfred E. Smith.
1956: Eisenhower (incumbent) defeats Stevenson.
1984: Reagan (incumbent) defeats Mondale.
2012: ? defeats Obama.
Between 1860 and 2012 the above are the only years having a triple set of Friday the 13ths spaced apart by 13 weeks. However, before 1860 in 1804 and 1832 (equidistant tri-Fri 13th years) incumbent presidents Thomas Jefferson (Democratic-Republican Party) and Andrew Jackson (founder of the Democratic Party) won reelection. Jefferson defeated Federalist Charles Pinckney; and Jackson defeated Henry Clay of the National Republican Party (not today's GOP), and William Wirt of the anti-Masonic Party. However, if limited government Jefferson and Jackson were alive today they'd despise big government Obama and his party, and be Republicans backing GOP candidates for office, or running for the Republican nomination.

Postscript I: Friday The 13th And The Euro Debt Crisis
More Friday the 13th bad news for the hapless, failing, unreelectable Obama. The rating agency Standard & Poors downgraded the credit status of nine European countries: France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Malta and Cyprus were variously downgraded on Friday signaling that the European debt crisis is back with a vengence ready to do hovoc with implications for the US recovery. You can read about it here and here.
