This document isn't worth the paper it's printed on. If you reelect me I swear that in my second term I'll tear it up and write it anew.
Barack Obama's radical leftist secular assault on the US Constitution, and the religious rights and liberties of the powerful Catholic Church, fell on the third anniversary of his ominous inauguration* when he botched his constitutional oath on the significant word FAITHFULLY, and Ted Kennedy(Obama's Roman Catholic mentor and kingmaker) collapsed from a LEFT-sided brain tumor*.
Was Kennedy's collapse a sign warning Obama that the health policies of his administration (Kennedy was a sick man) could collapse Catholic support for his presidency? There's no doubt about it, this amazing miscalculation by the clueless wonder and his idiot HHS Secretary was an inauspicious beginning to his forth year in office and will most likely be regretted on Election Day.
*Obama's decision on birth control affecting religious organizations, and especially the Catholic Church, was made on January 20, the third anniversary of his inaugural (see).
Postscript: The Middle East and World War I
In his Townhall column today "Syria: World War I Continues" Austin Bay, a fine writer on national security and military issues, notes that the turmoil in Syria, and throughout the Middle East, is a continuation of the earthshaking and history shaping events of World War I when the region was liberated from Turkish rule. Bay writes: "The current Syrian revolt, the entire Arab Spring phenomenon, and for that matter, the Cold War share a sobering (and I suggest more explanatory) origin: World War I, the Great War. Four authoritarian empires fell in that conflagration: the Ottoman Turk, the German (Hohenzollern), the Austro-Hungarian (Habsburg) and the Russian Romanov. The Western Front slaughterhouse damaged France and Britain; though decolonization came decades later, the democratic imperialists never really recovered......"
