As the Prophet Mohammad is the central figure and enemy in our civilizational struggle with imperial, militaristic, totalitarian Islam (the religio-political-legal-military faith that seeks world revolution and domination) stripping him naked of all that is false and fictional is a world necessity in this ideological war.
ROBERT SPENCER'S PLACE IN HISTORY
If an "Islamophobe" is a realist about Islam who menaces insecure Moslems with the truth about their faith and its founder then Robert Spencer's courageous, awesome and challenging "Did Muhammad Exist" would make him the most menacing "Islamophobic" scholar of our age and perhaps of all time. What makes this book so menacing and dangerous to believers is that it conclusively proves that there is absolutely no proof that Mohammed ever existed. The purported greatest and last of God's divine prophets, and bearer of His ultimate revelation of truth to mankind, left no hard evidence behind that he was a real historical person.
Surely if God wanted us to know that Mohammed existed and that his life was the most significant event in human history, if He wanted us to know that Islam is the universal answer to all of humanity's problems-without which there can be no peace on earth or salvation in heaven-then surely Providence would have exalted Mohammed in his lifetime to such heights of fame and glory that surrounding peoples and cultures would have known and written about him marveling at his qualities or hating him. But there is nothing. No mention of him by non-Moslem sources whether Christian, Jew or pagan inside and outside Arabia until the 8th century. All that we have are the Koran and contradictory Hadiths and traditions written by believers long after Mohammed's reported death. And as Robert Spencer shows in his superb book what was written by these early Moslems isn't enough to establish Mohammed's existence.
Did Mohammed Exist? Spencer says no. The ball is now in Islam's court to prove him wrong.

sweep over all of the Middle East, Near East and North Africa in the name of Mohammed and Islam with the conquered peoples (Byzantines, Egyptians, Persians, Syrians, etc.) knowing nothing of either? Because at the time Mohammed and Islam meant nothing to these hordes. Because the new faith, if it existed, didn't drive them. Because they weren't on a mission to save the world from unbelief. They conquered, killed and destroyed out of naked greed for territory, treasure and power and later developed a militant faith to justify their imperialism and evil deeds and give themselves the veneer of a great moral purpose.
THE MISSING REVOLTING DETAILS OF MOHAMMED'S DISGUSTING LIFE
Spencer mentions in his book that the first biography of Mohammad by Ibn Ishaq (written a century after the prophet's death) has come down to us in a highly sanitized form where Ibn Hisham admits in his edition of that work (the one we possess) that he left out many disgusting and embarrassing details of Mohammed's life. One wonders what these unappetizing tidbits were. Did the butcher Mohammed eat the flesh of his enemies and drink their blood? Was he homosexual or bisexual? Did he bugger little boys and girls? Was he a drunk in the habit of vomiting on himself and urinating in his robe? Was he addicted to hashish or other drugs? Did he practice beastiality or necrophila? Did he marry his camel or mule? Maybe, maybe not. What is certain however is that Mohammed, if he existed, was more immoral, lawless and wicked than the sickening figure Ishaq and Hisham portray; and that the murdering prophet from the pit of hell was more pitiable and wretched than we suppose.
