Compare Lincoln's face with Obama's: the one exudes rugged, rock-like strength and depth of character and enormous integrity, the other boyishness, shallowness, cluelessness and folly.
In 2007 Barack Obama kicked off his run for the presidency from the steps of the Old State House in Springfield, Illinois, where Lincoln delivered his famous House Divided speech ("the basis of my campaign" said Obama). On Inauguration Day 2009 Obama triumphantly rode into Washington on a whistle-stop train trip duplicating the route Lincoln took in 1861; then hours later he took his mangled oath of office on the Lincoln Bible. Now he's delivering his fifth (forgettable?) State of the Union speech on the 204th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. What is Obama's message? What's he trying to say? That after five years in office it's high time we recognized who he truly is? That he's proven himself to be the new Abe Lincoln? His reincarnation? His avatar? That Lincoln is his guardian angel and he's channeling his spirit from above? Is he saying that today's GOP is blind to his Lincolnesque qualities and greatness? That Boehner, McConnell, Cantor and the rest are PLINOS? The Party of Lincoln In Name Only? And that if Lincoln were alive he'd be a big government, spendhrift, nanny state Democrat? Fat chance!
That our narcissistic mental case-in-chief (who often misuses Lincoln or gets him wrong) is that insanely delusional I have no doubt. There is nothing of Lincoln's greatness in Obama; not an atom of his majesty, wisdom, courage, truthfulness and grace; not a scrap of his governing, leadership, speaking and negotiating skills. Just look at their facial physiognomies above. Lincoln was 24 carat gold; a conviction politician as close to being a saint and ideal head of state as any of our presidents; while Obama's a gold platted fraud (fool's gold to those who value him) the most hypocritical and mendacious president since Nixon; and the stupidest economically since the depression causing Herbert Hoover. Obama glitters and shines on the outside but is mud and manure within as is evident from his sickening reelection campaign and non-stop excuses and lies as he epically fails and the country withers and dies. Would Lincoln have accused Romney of causing a cancer victim's death beacuse he stopped funding a failed steel mill? Or said spending wasn't a problem when we're $16 trillion in debt? Was Lincoln ever that false and stupid as President? What the blazing midday sun is to a faint midnight star so is Lincoln to Obama-and I'm being generous.
If Lincoln were alive today he'd have no illusions about Obama and know him for what he is: a dangerous leftwing un-American radical rooted in the collectivist principles of the French Revolution with a serious truth and reality problem unfit to command. Indeed, Lincoln would be leading the charge against Obama on everything from spending and healthcare to taxes and gun control to the weakening of the military-he'd be just as appalled as McCain and Lindsey Graham at Chuck Hagel's nomination to head DOD and would demand a full accounting about Benghazi. Obstructing Obama's big government agenda (downsizing of America and assault on the Constitution) at every turn the classically liberal, small government, free market Lincoln would be an object of media vilification and Obama's divisive, demonizing wrath painting him a regressive, racist, 19th century know nothing throwback.
Delivering his address today on the birthday of our greatest president is emblematic of Obama's ridiculous, laughable exalted self-image; the belief that he's one of the great ones destined for immortality and Mt. Rushmore-when he's a fatally flawed man lacking the character, mentality and maturity for the job. With each passing day this country becomes a less perfect union: poorer, weaker, more insecure, engulfed in deepening pessimism, uncertainty and gloom; our enemies boldly advance while we retreat as Obama leads us forward at home and abroad from disaster to disaster. Before he died Lincoln was honored worldwide for going to war over a moral principle and ending slavery. But five years in office and Obama is regarded as the most reckless spending head of state in history; a great blundering amateur on the world stage neither respected nor feared by friends or foes managing this country's decline into bankruptcy, mediocrity and ruin.
Obama is Lincoln's antithesis and polar opposite; the absolute anti-Lincoln small minded, arrogant, vengeful, ruthless and shamelessly false to the core; a moral, mental and spiritual pipsqueak unworthy even to be Lincoln's shadow, on a rendezvous with failure and a legacy of disaster.
