40,000 RALLY FOR
CLIMATE CHANGE ACTION
After polluting the planet for generations with galactic amounts of poisonous CO2 all that the AGW movement can muster is 40,000 angry fists raging against the capitalist machine. It globally warmed my Ice Age heart to see such a massive display of leftwing ignorance and impotency. Since they believe that carbonizing the atmosphere will cause the catastrophe of waterworld or worse then they better head for the hills (or build huge arks as in the film 2012) because they're failing to frighten humanity with their bull.
When I saw yesterday's anti-American rally in Washington DC for saving humanity from the Keystone XL pipeline the first thing I noticed was how awfully cold the global warmists were (the temp was 13 degrees with the wind chill factor) and asked myself 'How could this be? How could the temperature not be 70 or 80 degrees after 200 years of pumping zillions of tons of man-made, heat trapping, life-destroying gases into our atmosphere? In fact with sensitive, compassionate global warming activists demonizing deniers like me as worse than Nazis the world by now should be one vast crematorium or gas chamber with humanity being massively gased or fried to death.
Moreover, as the 40,000 climatarians (humanitarians against climate change) raged against America-that's approximately one angry protester for every plug-in hybrid sold last year falling short of Obama's predicted 1 million-I wondered why they weren't protesting in New Delhi or Beijing when India and China are XLing the US as the world's worst polluters? Does America being a predominately White Christian Capitalist country have something to do with it? Or is it that once upon a time we were White, Christian and Capitalist but still unatoned for our sins?

What is "short" is the AGW movement: Short on truth, short on science, short on honesty, short on integrity, and soon to be short-lived.

You might be unaware of this but despite playing a key role in advancing climate change hysteria, the United Kingdom’s National Weather Service, known as the Met Office, quietly released a report last week conceding that so-called “global warming” actually stopped more than 15 years ago. The startling admission shows once again that United Nations theories and climate models are wildly inaccurate at best, experts say, meaning multi-trillion dollar schemes to deal with alleged human-caused “climate change” are at the very least severely misguided.
Climate Change is nothing but more fear mongering from left-wing lobbyists.

Apollo's post is spot wrong. And Justified Defiance's post is a disingenous talking point. David Rose, a UK journalist known for his parrotting of denialist lines, wilfully misinterpreted a Met Office report. "Disingenuous", by the way, is being polite.

Rose did nothing of the sort. Global surface temperatures (confounding UN climate models) have been statistically steady for 16 years despite a huge, massive 10%- 20% increase in man made atmospheric CO2 and other "heat trapping" gases. Coinciding with this finding is the discovery by solar physicists of sun spots vanishing from the surface of the sun. When this last happened in 1645 it was the dawn of a 70 year Ice Age. Why shouldn't this phenomena be happening again?

Nor, for that matter, is there an unusual and dangerous warming trend-except in the overheated brains of AWG activists who are on fire with messianic fervor fancying themselves world saviors fighting for the survival of the humanity. How noble! How brave! AND HOW WRONG!
Go have a look at William Nordhaus' article in the New York Review of Books (online), entitled "Why the Global Warming Skeptics are Wrong". Look at the first figure. I dare you.

This is what I mean: In his movie "An Inconvenient Truth" Big Oil Al Jeezera Gore uses a wall-size chart of climate change (taken from National Geographic) that shows 5 cycles of Global Warming at intervals of approximately 100,000 years over the last 450,000 years, with long Ice Ages in between. The previous 4 cycles were shorter and warmer than the one we're now in (the Holocene) which began about 12,000 years ago, and was warmest about 8,000 years ago, warmer than it is now.
What this proves is that Global Warming and Ice Ages are a naturally recuring cyclic phenomenon. The data shows this cycle going back millions of years. Global Warming and Ice Ages are very real, but this does not prove we cause them, or that we can do anything about them. We can do nothing except endure them and what bad weather events they create.
