INTRODUCTION
Will history see Iran’s presidential election of June 12th and the ensuing civil strife as the beginning of an Iranian civil war or counter-revolution where the mullahs and their minions are thoroughly defeated and driven from power by an armed insurgency, with the Iranian people joining Iraq as the second Shiite democracy in the region? I believe so. I believe that the thunderous events that exploded across Iran last June were the violent birth pangs of a new, free democratic state, and that these events were prefigured by the terrible destruction of the Space Shuttle Columbia six years ago.
1. THE SIGN OF COLUMBIA
You will recall from my work The Sign of Columbia (
see ) that the destroyed space shuttle had the Islamic Republic of Iran written all over it. You will recall that 107, the shuttle’s STS number, was the exact numeric value of the name Islamic Republic of Iran (see chapter three). You will recall that the launch and return dates of the ship, January 16th and February 1st, exactly correspond to two of the three most significant dates of the Iranian Revolution: the flight of the Shah from Iran into permanent exile (January 16, 1979) and the triumphant return of Ayatollah Khomeine to Tehran (February 1st)*.
* These dates were the 24th anniversaries of the Shah’s pathetic flight and Khomeine’s historic return. The third most important event of the Iranian Revolution was on November 4, 1979 when radical pro-Khomeine university students seized the US Embassy in Tehran.
You will also recall that the ship exploded over the town of Palestine* located in the oil rich gulf state of Texas, emblematic of Israel* and the oil rich Persian Gulf-which includes Iran as one of its countries.
* The lands of ancient Palestine included Israel, the Palestinian Territories and parts of present day Jordan..
And lastly you’ll recall that one of the members of Columbia’s ill-starred crew was Ilan Ramon, the Israeli Air Force pilot-son and grandson of Holocaust survivors-who participated in the 1981 preemptive bombing of Saddam Hussein’s Osiraq nuclear plant. Indeed, encoded in this brave man’s name as an anagram is the name IRAN, hence:

Keep in mind that Ramon, one of 7 pilots that attacked Saddam’s nuclear plant, died aboard a ship whose number is symbolic of Islamic Iran**. As we shall see below Ilan Ramon’s death and the recent death of his son (in the same F-16 flown by his father against Saddam) was a dire warning to Israel against striking Iran.
*This is one of only six towns named Palestine in the US.
** 8 Israeli pilots flying F-16s were sent to strike Osiraq but only 7 actually attacked the site as one of the planes experienced technical problems
. The 8 F-16s were originally part of a package of 150 planes intended for sale to the Shah of Iran. Because of the revolution the contract was canceled by the Defense Department.
As I wrote in the Sign of Columbia the terrible destruction of that ship on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran prefigures a violent, bloody end to the Khomeine regime as the only solution to removing its menacing presence from the world and restoring civil liberties in Iran. But how will this great and hoped for day of liberation occur? By insurrection, invasion, a military coup? By an insurgency aided by US and Israel? Or could I be mistaken and that the regime will come to a non-violent end like the soft collapse of the Soviet Union?
2. OMENS OF CIVIL WAR
The significant date of February 1st provides, I believe, the clue to the fate of the mullahs: for while this was the date of Columbia’s disintegration over Texas, and the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran, it was also the 143rd anniversary of the slave state of Texas seceding from the Union and joining the Confederacy one year before the Civil War began*.
*Texas joined the Confederacy on February 1, 1860.
But there are other indications that the gathering force of anti-Khamenie opponents will rise up in armed revolt and war against the regime and its supporters. In The Sign of Columbia (chapter five) I noted that the rise of Khomeine, Saddam Hussein and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (which led to the ascendancy of the Taliban in the mid-90s) occurred within the space of 328 days in 1979, and that the demise of these regimes starting with the Soviets was occurring in reverse order with the mullahs being the last to fall.
Upon rereading chapter five you will recall that Saddam seizing power in Iraq on July 16th is, on the one hand, 23 weeks from Khomeine’s return on February 1st and, on the other, 23 weeks before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan on December 25th, hence:
February 1st> 23 weeks <July 16th> 23 weeks <December 25th
Now here is where it gets profound:
Columbia’s first mission in 1981 fell on the date April 12th which was the 120th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War; this was when rebel forces attacked a US military base at Ft. Sumter, South Carolina. This date of April 12, 1861 is reducible by addition to the number 23, hence:
4+1+2+1+8+6+1=23
Indeed, from its beginning to its end, from the first launching of Columbia in 1981 to its tragic destruction 12 years later these two dates converge with the anniversary of important events related to the Civil War.
Even more fascinating and perhaps prophetically indicative of just where Iran’s pro-democracy movement will go, or needs to go, now that it’s been violently suppressed, forced underground and radicalized*, is the following remarkable numeric sign: for when you count the number of days separating February 1, 2003 (which prefigures, I believe, the violent end of the Khomeine regime), and election day June 12th, which triggered massive anti-regime unrest, amazingly, astonishingly and perhaps Providentially we are given the exact total of 2323 days, hence:
February 1, 2003 (the destruction of the shuttle) to June 12, 2009 (the presidential election)=6 years, 4 months and 11 days or 2323 days giving us the number 23 twice.
But I’m not done. Presidential candidate Hossein Mousavi, whose contesting of the June 12th election on charges of voter fraud triggered the anti-Khamenie-Ahmadenijad protest, announced that he was a candidate for the presidency on March 9, 2009 a date which amazingly gives us the number 23, hence:
3+9+2+9=23
Moreover, from the start of Ahmadinejad’s presidency in 2005 to the June 12th election was a total of 46 months; 46 is a multiple of 23 twice giving us two 23s, hence:
August 6, 2005* (start of Ahmadinejad’s presidency) to June 12, 2009=3 years, 10 months and 6 days, or 46 months-twice 23**.
*This date was also the 60th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Since Ahmadinejad’s election in 2005 he has made the nuclear issue the most contentious for Iran because of his repeated threats to wipe out Israel..
**Oddly, Ahmadinejad, born October 28, 1956, was 23 years old when university students, himself possibly included, seized the US embassy in Tehran thus starting the 444 day hostage crisis.
Furthermore, Ali Khamenie*, Iran’s supreme leader, was 330 days into his 69th year on the day of the June 12th election; 69 is a multiple of 23 three times.
*Khamenie was born July 17, 1939 on the third anniversary of the Spanish Civil War-perhaps an indication of a coming Iranian civil war during his rule.
And lastly, as the space shuttle was destroyed in 2003, 23 with two zeros in-between, it fell on the 32nd day of the year, or 23 reversed, hence:
January 1st to February 1st=32 days.
3. 23, THE NUMBER OF FATALITY
Within the context of events shaking Iran what then is the meaning of the recurring number 23 and its multiples? We have seen that 23 was linked in various ways to the following events:
The ill-fated Saddam Hussein taking power in Iraq and the disastrous Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (the Russian Vietnam)
The destruction of Columbia on the anniversary of Khomenie’s return to Iran and the June 12th election which triggered national unrest*.
*The two events were separated by exactly 2323 days.

was linked to Hossein Mousavi the candidate who was defrauded of the election; and to the losing side of the American Civil War, the side that defended the injustice of slavery and started the war.
It appears that 23 is a numeric sign symbolizing loss, defeat and destruction. This number I believe is the signature effect of a Higher Power prophetically signaling the end of the Islamo-fascist state with June 12th marking the turning point-the beginning of the end for the mullahs; the beginning of the political, social and economic victory of a free and democratic Iran. And as we will see below this number gives us clues on how to defeat the mullahs and end their deadly reign of terror.
4. THE IRANIAN HOSTAGE CRISIS, 9/11 AND THE NUMBER 23
As is commonly known the terrible al-Qaida attack on September 11, 2001 which left over 3000 Americans dead was rooted in the Iranian Hostage Crisis of November 4, 1979. For when pro-Khomenie student radicals seized the US embassy in Tehran and held our diplomats hostage for 444 days it was the opening salvo in Militant Islam’s war on the United States. Indeed, the Iranian Revolution has served as an inspiration and model for Islamic extremists everywhere who saw it as a sign of Islam’s coming defeat of America and the West and its return to history as a great world power leading to the fulfillment of Mohammed's prophecy of a one world Moslem state. But this is a utopian fantasy as the age of religious empires died with the defeat of the Ottoman Turks in World War I. Indeed, the downfall of the mullahs will be a terrible blow to the triumphalism, morale and radical dreams of Militant Islam, a milestone and major victory in the War on Terror.
Indeed, as a sign that we will prevail in this war and defeat our Jihadist foes despite our weak president the numbers 1104 and 2001 which gives us the dates 11-04 (the Hostage Crisis) and the year of the 9/11 attack are multiples of the number 23, the sign of defeat and destruction, hence:
23x48=1104
23x87=2001
Now as Barack Obama was elected president on 11-04-2008, the 29th anniversary of the Iran Hostage Crisis, this is a sign that his presidency is critical for winning the War on Terror in the way Jimmy Carter’s presidency was crucial for bringing Ronald Reagan to power and winning the Cold War. Providence will bring victory out of the catastrophe of this presidency.
5. DIVINE MIRACLE OR WARNING?
When Khamenie announced to the world that the fraudulent reelection of Ahmadinejad was a “divine miracle” the titanic forces of discontent and national rage he unleashed were a divine warning that his days as Iran’s supreme leader are numbered, that his unbending, defiant, intransigent will, will be broken with his fascist regime joining Saddam’s Baathist Iraq* and the Soviet Union** in the trash bin of history.
* On July 17, 1968, the day the Baathist Party took over Iraq in a coup, Khamenie turned 40.
**The mullahs regard their fascist state as having replaced the Soviet Union as America’s chief adversary on the world stage.
6. COLUMBIA’S DAMAGED LEFT WING AND THE FALL OF THE MULLAHS
As the violent destruction of Columbia is symbolic of the Islamic Republic’s dismal fate, as it’s emblematic of Iran’s doomed ship of state headed by a reactionary clerical oligarchy rigidly opposed to reform and democratic change, we need keep in mind that it was damage to the ship’s LEFT WING that brought it down. This, I believe, is symbolic of the violently suppressed, democratic forces (Iran‘s political Left) rising up in armed revolt and bringing down the Islamic state possibly aided by Israel with training, funds and arms. Indeed, Ramon’s presence on Columbia indicates, I believe, that Israel will be a factor in the counter-revolutionary equation for toppling and destroying the genocidal mullahs but not by preemptive military strikes. Iran’s democratic forces are Israel’s natural allies in their struggle with the mullahs and the two, so I believe, will be working in concert to undermine the regime and bring it down*.
*Through direct military action and/or supplying arms and training to the insurgents. It is believed that the US military and Israeli commandos are arming and secretly training Kurdish militias with links to the ethnic Kurdish community in Iran (
see). This could be expanded to include Iranians violently opposed to the regime.
7. THE TWO BUSHES, THE FALL OF THE SOVIET UNION AND THE VIOLENT COLLAPSE OF FASCIST IRAN*
On June 20th of last year, as I was reading a short biography on George H. W. Bush, the man who brought to completion Ronald Reagan’s mission of gutting the Soviet Union, I got the idea to calculate the number of days spanning Bush’s inauguration and the historic day of victory when the “evil empire” disappeared from world history. As that day was December 26, 1991 it intrigued me to discover that it was exactly 1070 days from January 20, 1989 when Bush took the oath of office. As 1070 is the number 107 minus the last zero and is a numeric sign signifying Iran, and the Soviet Union collapsed softly and peacefully without violence or war, I began to question my assumptions; I began to think that perhaps my interpretation of Columbia was wrong and I was mistaken about the necessity of the mullahs coming to a violent end. I began to think that perhaps sometime soon an Ayatollah Gorbachev would appear in Iran to replace Khamenie, a genuine reformer who would abolish the radical regime, hold free elections and normalize his country much like what happened to Russia under Gorbachev.
I then got the idea to add the same number of days (1070) to the inauguration date of Bush the son. This took me to the date December 26, 2003, 13 days after Saddam Hussein’s arrest and a day of tragedy for the people of Southwestern Iran as the town of Bam was razed to the ground, leveled by a powerful earthquake-7.7 on the Richter scale-killing thousands. What this means speaks for itself: that those who believe in a soft Soviet type collapse of the nuclear mullahs are completely mistaken; that this regime is entrenched in power and is determined to stay there whatever the cost to Iran and its people. Let’s be clear about this: as the Farsi word “Bam” comes from a mythical Persian warrior king named Bahman, the second king after Goshtasp (Khamenei is Iran’s second supreme leader after Khomeine) the destroyed city named after a king signifies the violent destruction of Iran’s sick, repressive theocratic regime-and this should occur now, while the old, ailing Khamenei is in power**.
In other words, as it was an earthquake that leveled the city of Bam this signifies an internal domestic upheaval destroying the Islamo-fascist state. What could ignite such an upheaval is revealed, I believe, in what follows.

**It is worth noting that September 24, 2009 (while Obama was attending a UN on disarmament) was the 107th anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeine’s birth.
8. OBAMA’S PITTSBURGH REVELATION, THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS AND HR 362, OR BLOCKADING THE MULLAHS TO DEATH
In his Frontpage article
High Noon for Israel Matt Gurney made an interesting observation about Obama at Pittsburgh when he disclosed the existence of Iran’s nuclear weapons facility near Qom. Gurney said that Sarkozy and Brown flanking Obama was "a scene reminiscent of the Cuban missile crisis." Similarly, in his article Is Iran Nearing a Bomb? Pat Buchanan wrote that if Obama is right about the Qom facility then "Ayatollah Khamenei has a credibility problem the size of Andrei Gromyko's, when he assured President Kennedy there were no Soviet missiles in Cuba. And President Kennedy had the photos in his desk."
In likening Obama's explosive revelation to JFK, Russia and the Cuban Missile Crisis Buchanan and Gurney have hit on something of great importance. As you’ll recall the frightening confrontation with Russia over its deployment of nuclear missiles on Cuba was resolved by the US imposing a naval blockade on Cuba-which, I believe, points to the solution not only for ending Iran’s nuclear terror program, but more importantly for destroying the mullahs’ menacing regime.
Indeed, when Barack Obama made the revelation what completely went unnoticed was the significance of the date and its relevance to the conflict. For after concealing this information for nine months Obama, whose timing is often bad but always revealing, inadvertently decided to make the disclosure on September 25th, one year from the date that Congress shelved an important piece of legislation vital, in my view, to igniting a massive anti-regime revolt in Iran and driving the mullahs from power; that legislation was HR 362
For those who don’t know or recall HR 362 was the bill introduced to Congress on May 22nd of last year by Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY) authorizing the President to punish Iran for its nuke program by imposing a naval blockade to choke off, among other things, its access to imported fuel-finished petroleum products like gasoline, vital to running Iran‘s fragile economy (
see). As Iran produces roughly half of its energy needs such a blockade, a declaration of war by international law, would cause an energy crisis bringing the Iranian economy to a halt. Indeed, such a blockade would hurt the broader population and fueling the fires of massive unrest caused by last June’s election, and the brutal repression that followed, it would, I believe, galvanize the nation-millions of alienated Iranians-to rise up in revolt against the regime and its fascist supporters. That a blockade would cause the regime destroying domestic explosion signified by the Bam earthquake (mentioned above) is indicated by the following marvel:
As the Bam earthquake occurred on the date December 26th amazingly this day on a Leap Year is the 362nd day of the year the exact number of the Ackerman blockade bill*.
*When not a Leap Year December 26th is the 361st day of the year but close enough to the bill's number to suspect the workings of Providence in giving us a prophetic clue on the best way forward to oust the mullahs.
Moreover, when we translate the letters of the word “blockade” into their numeric equivalents we get the following result using the standard English numerological table :

Not only is the number 23 encoded in the word blockade, a number of fatality for the mullahs, but also encoded are the three digits of HR 362 in the order 2-3-6.
Moreover, as Iran’s radical regime is commonly called by the name “mullahs” this too has a numeric value of 23, hence:

On September 25th Obama, Sarkozy and Brown called for “stringent” sanctions against Iran if it continues to ignore international law over its nuclear program. As the old sanctions have already expired without so much as changing the mullahs’ behavior or nuclear quest the only logical course of action, the best of many bad options, is an economy crippling fuel blockade aimed at regime change. This means keeping the blockade in place until the regime is toppled and completely destroyed.
Indeed, the endgame of a naval blockade on Iran’s imported (and exported) fuel must be the destruction of its evil regime, not simply pressuring it to stop uranium enrichment. Like Saddam Hussein who retained the services of his nuclear and WMD scientists with every intention of reconstituting his programs* the nuclear mad mullahs will never stop until they build the bomb. For unless Iran enters the nuclear age it can never become an Islamic superpower, or make any real progress in restoring Islam to its ancient glory. The toppling of the mullahs is a world, regional and national security necessity; they are as much a threat to US and Western interests as they are to Israel and the Middle East and their downfall means the end of this threat with Iran joining Iraq and Afghanistan in becoming a part of the Free World**.
*As stated by Saddam to his interrogators.
** The end of the Islamic Republic would also save the young democracy of Iraq from subversion as the mullahs are intent on eradicating it.
NOTE TO READER: Those who share the opinion that a naval blockade of Iran's imported energy products would be futile because Russia and other countries could deliver these goods overland to Iran are mistaken. Truth is Iran does not have an effective land route over which these goods could travel to escape a blockade. As Charles Krauthammer said: "You cannot serve the energy needs of 80 million Iranians overland."
Furthermore, for a naval blockade to be super-effective it should go beyond HR 362 and cut off Iran's energy exports as well. When diplomacy, negotiations and punishing sanctions fail what is left short of militray action is a regime destroying catastrophic blockade.
9. OBAMA'S 248TH DAY: EITHER JFK OR JIMMY CARTER
362 is the 62nd number in the 300 series. On September 25th when Obama disclosed the existence of Iran's hidden nuke plant at Qom it was the 248th day of his presidency. Besides 362 and 248 being even numbers they have one thing in common: the number 62. For while 362 is the 62nd number in the 300 series 248 is a multiple of 62 4x. Just as Gurney and Buchanan linked the Qom plant revelation to the Cuban Missile Crisis 62 signifies the year 1962, the year of that crisis when JFK, risking nuclear war, forced Russia to back down and remove its missiles from Cuba. This is another telling numeric sign that blockading Iran is the best way forward for bringing down the fanatical, unbending nuclear mullahs. When it comes to ending Iran's nuclear terror program Obama needs to live up to his image as the "new JFK" and find the courage to impose a naval blockade on Iran. Either he do that or he'll suffer the fate of Jimmy Carter with Ahmadinejad and company walking all over him and the world becoming a more dangerous and deadly place.
10. THE SACRIFICIAL DEATH OF ASAF RAMON
The death of Asaf Ramon was a warning to Israel against launching a military strike against Iran’s nuclear and military sites as the consequences to the Jewish State would be calamitous. Asaf Ramon died during a training mission over the West Bank flying an F-16, the same jet bomber his father Ilan flew in the successful attack on Saddam’s Osiraq reactor. Amazingly, the son met his Maker 6 years and 7 months after the father’s death aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia. These two numbers 6 & 7 give us the date 6-7 or June 7th, the date in 1981 when Ilan Ramon and seven IAF pilots attacked Osiraq leaving it in ruins.
Asaf Ramon flew an F-16 that crashed on the 16th anniversary of the Rabin-Arafat handshake, the affair at Clinton’s White House that began the disastrous Oslo Peace Process (
see ). Ilan Ramon was 16 days in space having commenced his mission on the 16th day of January (the 24th anniversary of the Shah’s flight from Iran)*. As I said above his mission ended with the demise of Columbia over the town of Palestine in the oil rich gulf state of Texas-emblematic of Israel, the Persian Gulf and Middle East-as stated above. The day Ilan and his crew members died converged with the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return from exile to Iran-the start of the disastrous Iranian Revolution. 24 is one of two numbers identifying the nation Iran (the other being 107); 24 is also the day in September when Ayatollah Khomeine was born, hence:

9915=24 (see table above).
September 24, 1902 is the date of Khomeine’s birth.
Amazingly, the exact number of days separating the deaths of Ilan and Asaf Ramon were 2416, (the 16th number of the 2400 series) hence:
February 1, 2003 (the death of Ilan) to September 13, 2009 (the death of Asaf)=6 years, 7 months and 12 days=2416 days.
Numerically this signifies that a jet bomber attack (F-16) on Iran (24) would be a catastrophe for Israel-as was the Oslo Peace Process with the homicidal Jew hating Yassir Arafat.
As the Columbia was destroyed on the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran-indicating that the Khomeine regime must and will be violently overthrown-it happened in the year 2003 the number 23 separated by zeros, a number which, as we have seen, signifies defeat, loss and destruction for the mullahs.
That Netanyahu ordering a military strike against Iran would be a disaster for Israel is signified by the fact that 23 weeks* separates the start of Netanyahu’s government from Asaf Ramon’s death, hence:
March 31, 2009 (Netanyahu sworn in as Israel’s PM) to September 13th (Asaf Ramon‘s death)=166 days or 23 weeks.
* We saw above that 23 weeks separated the evil rise of Saddam Hussein as Iraq’s brutal dictator from the Iranian Revolution and Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
This is another indication that Asaf Ramon’s death was not the work of chance; that it was a providential warning to Netanyahu that an Israeli attack on Iran would have serious consequences for the people of Israel (Columbia‘s explosion over Palestine, Texas); that, in effect, it would not have the same successful outcome as Ilan Ramon’s mission against Saddam.
APPENDIX l: THE CLASH OF IRRECONCILABLE IDEALS*
The Islamic Revolution in Iran is still very strong and very much alive with millions of pro-Khomenist zealots ready to die and martyr themselves for the cause. Khamenie and Ahmadenijad remain fanatically committed to their revolutionary ideology and geo-political goal of Islamic imperial restoration: turning Iran into a political and military superpower like the Islamic empires of old; for the Khomeine fascists, as with Hitler and his Nazis, it's VICTORY OR DEATH! What is certain is that the current upheaval in Iran is no longer about the election, it’s about the destiny of the nation its future as a nuclear armed jihadist state plunging the Middle East into war and possibly nuclear Armageddon, or joining Iraq and Afghanistan as a democratic state strengthening each with its existence, ensuring a democratic future for the region. What is clear is that the pro-democracy forces in Iran cannot prevail unless they go to war with the regime and its supporters. The two sides are irreconcilable. Civil War is coming to Iran and we must back with training, funds, arms the pro-democracy forces fighting the regime.
*This was written in late June.
APPENDIX II: 14,444TH DAY OF KHAMENIE
1776 was the year of the American Revolution the greatest and most important political, economic and social revolution in world history. 1776 is a multiple of the number 444 (4x) a number made famous when Iran released 52 American hostages shortly after Ronald Reagan was sworn into office-a sign of things to come for one of the three greatest liberator presidents in our history as his policies caused the downfall of Soviet Russia and the freeing of millions in Eastern Europe from tyranny.
Oddly enough on February 1, 1979, the day of Ayatollah Khomeine’s return to Iran from France-the start of the Iranian Revolution-Ali Khamenie (Khomeine’s future successor) was in the 14,444th day of his life, hence:
July 17, 1939 (day of Khamenie’s birth) to February 1, 1979=39 years, 6 months and 15 days=14,444 days.
Could this be a prophetic sign of Khamenie’s fate? That he is destined to be overthrown, imprisoned, run into exile or be killed, and go down in history as the last of Iran’s ruling Ayatollahs? It is fascinating to note that in the revolutionary year 1979, on July 17th when Khamenie turned 40, Nicaragua’s dictator Anastasio Somoza resigned his office and fled to Florida. Moreover, just one day before on July 16th Saddam Hussein took power in Iraq. This means that Khamenie’s 40th birthday was 23 weeks from February 1st the start of the Iranian Revolution, an inauspicious sign that his unbending dedication to the revolution and its utopian goals (imperial restoration*) will break him in the end and be his undoing.
*The restoration of Islam as a great world power.
APPENDIX III: THE NUMBER 23 AND THE FALL OF SADDAM
As most protestors in Iran look to free, democratic Shiite Iraq as a model for a future Iranian state (vindicating the Bush Doctrine) quite remarkably the number 23 played a somewhat significant role in the downfall of Saddam Hussein. Consider the following:
The number of days separating the shuttle explosion on February 1st from Bush’s unleashing of Shock and Awe on Saddam totals 46 or twice 23, hence:
February 1, 2003 to March 19, 2003 (the start of Shock and Awe stateside) = 46 days.
From the start of Saddam’s brutal reign as Iraq’s dictator to the day of Shock and Awe and Saddam’s defeat shortly after was 23 years, hence:
July 16, 1979 (start of Saddam’s dictatorship) to March 19, 2003 = 23 years, 8 months and 3 days.
And lastly, 2003, 23 separated by two zeros, was the worst and most disastrous year of Saddam’s evil life. It was the year that he lost his power, his sons, his freedom and his dream of becoming the King of Arabia-the savior who would restore the Arab world to its glorious past. As this number proved inauspicious for Saddam it is equally so for the mullahs who are doomed by God and history for destruction.
