OBAMA'S HOCUS POCUS ECONOMICS: THE ARRA DECEPTION AND THE FED STIMULUS PLAN

Obamanomics is hocus pocus economics; it is a sleight of hand statist deception to massively grow the size and scope of government under the guise of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) while relying on Fed chief Bernanke's monetary stimulus policies to effect the recovery. And despite signs of improvement from the Fed stimulus (noted by Larry Kudlow in his overoptimistic piece: Hey Conservatives, We're Recovering), consumer spending remains dismally flat* while Obama's policies and inept leadership depress confidence and economic activity.

*Consumer spending has been boosted slightly by the clunker program.

Indeed, by mid-June Obama himself lost faith in his plans to effect a recovery anytime soon, which is why he rushed madly into health care reform trying to get socialized medicine quickly passed before more bad economic news would make that practically impossible. If this weren't true and Obama still had faith in his plans then he would have patiently waited for signs of robust economic growth before venturing into health care reform. That way he could have used the recovery for credibility on health care saying to the public: 'trust me America, just as our policies are fixing the economy and putting you back to work so will my medical reform bill with a public option fix the broken health care system lowering costs while providing insurance to all.' That would have been the sensible and logical thing for Obama to do if he still had confidence in Obamanomics. But the Great Depressor's confidence is gone as the economy continues to errode due mostly to his untrustworthy and treacherous leadership and leftist spend, tax, deficit* and spread the wealth redistributionist policies.

* I heard it said on FOX that the only thing that ARRA is stimulating is the deficit-the deficit and growth of the Federal government.

Postscript I: The Radicalization of America

Obama's smoke and mirrors phony stimulus partisan political payback bill* was a component of his masterplan, together with Cap and Trade and Obamacare, to radicalize American culture and ensure that the future of this nation belongs to the secular progressive left. As more American's see through his trickery Obama is turning into an object of national derision and scorn undermining his ability to govern and dooming his presidency to impotency and catastrophic failure.

*Some have rightly called it "a gigantic political slush fund to payback supporters and buy votes" noting that counties that voted for Obama received twice as much of the "stimulus" money as those that voted for McCain. What was it Gibbs said about "politics not being at work when spending for the recovery?" The backlash against Obama and the Dems is only at its beginning. Down the road public indignation over their great deception will reach Katrina proportions overwhelming the administration and wrecking the radical left and its plans to seize permanent control of the country. Obama is the sign that Socialism isn't America's destiny.
 
Postscript II:
 
I imagine a meeting back in early January between Obama, Geithner, Summers and Bernanke which convinced Obama that the Feds monetary stimulus policy was the key to economic recovery; and that his administration could spend its way to advancing his hidden leftist agenda to create a permanent secular progressive culture in America. That agenda is now being derailed by the unintended consequences of Obamanomics-killing small businesses and entrepreneurialism*-and a right of center nation alarmed and up in arms over Obama's radical plans.
 
*The major source of new jobs and economic growth.

Picture a large, crazed monstrous rabbit conjured out of a magician's hat and you have the perfect image of hocus pocus economics coming back to terrorize Obama and the Dems.

TED KENNEDY SENATOR FROM LA MANCHA

Camelot may have been John Kennedy’s favorite musical but it was not his younger brother Ted’s. The late senator’s favorite was “The Man From La Mancha;” and his favorite song “The Impossible Dream” was that musical’s show stopping tune. For those unfamiliar with this wonderful show The Man from La Mancha, a huge 1960s Broadway hit, was based on Don Quioxte, the classic 17th century novel written by Miguel de Cervantes about a delusional middle aged man who fancies himself a great heroic knight of ancient chivalry, the last of his kind defending the helpless from the wicked, the poor from the powerful and the virtue of women abused and dishonored.

It figures that Kennedy should have loved this show and its memorable song since he spent most of his political career dreaming impossible dreams: the impossible dream of socialism, of radical justice for the disadvantaged and poor-the helpless victims of a cruel and racially unjust society. The impossible dream of a nation without poverty and crime where everyone is healthy, happy, prosperous and wise; where the sin of economic inequality is absolved by the massive redistribution of wealth from haves to the have nots. The dream that flourished in the radical 1960s, that was put into practice and disastrously failed; the dream that transferred trillions in government handouts for 25 years in a war against poverty where poverty won turning our inner cities into war zones and wastelands of violence, crime and drugs.

Long after this ruinous war and social experiment failed Kennedy undaunted bravely fought on and wouldn’t retreat; surmounting every tragedy, obstacle and defeat by strength of will: two murdered brothers, an airplane crash, the deaths of Mary Jo, Jackie and John Jr.; the defeats of ERA, Hillary Care, John Kerry and welfare reform (which he opposed), he stayed the course through it all advancing ahead to the very end while cancer was consuming his brain. How admirable was this man in his folly much like the errant knight Don Quioxte.

Kennedy remained a warrior for utopia unto death and now the mantle of his impossible quest of egalitarian justice: equality of income, outcome, condition and health care for all, his reckless Quixotic idealism, has fallen on Barack Obama, said to be the last of the brothers Kennedy, the most powerful man on earth and conceivably its most dangerous fool.

“To dream the impossible dream; to reach the unreachable star; to fight the unbeatable foe” this nonsense is Obama’s goals as he lurches from disaster to disaster feeling everyone’s pain while causing more; reinforced in his lunacy by Kennedy’s death, the senator from La Mancha, the compassionate.

WHY WAS I BANNED FROM HUFFINGTON POST?

After a three year relationship with Huffington Post and 1400 posted comments (300 of which were censored) why did they ban me after posting the following comment?

BATTLEGROUND AMERICA! WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

"In the conflict over ObamaCare the CBO and Warren Buffet* have clearly drawn the battle lines: on one side is the growing army of rightly concerned and frightened Americans-including Buffet and CBO-opposing Obama's reckless plans for bankrupting America and turning us into "a banana republic." On the other side are the Obamacons: the shrinking number of deluded and deranged Americans ready to plunge with Obama into the abyss of financial, economic and health care oblivion. Sane Americans oppose ObamaCare; insane Americans support it. The battle lines are drawn. Which side are you on?
 
*Buffet is known as "the Oracle of Omaha" and was born on August 30, 1930 at the start of the Great Depression. Buffet's warning is one of many dire signs, along with the Depression-born Burris and Kaufman (Obama's and Biden's replacement in the Senate); the Depression-born Pelosi, Hoyer and Reid (the Democratic leaders in Congress); and the Depression born Kennedy and Feinstein (Obama's kingmaker and inaugural MC) just where Obama and the Dems are taking America (BORN DEMOCRATS AND RINOS )."

Why did Huffington ban me for posting this comment after three years of bashing the Left on their blog? Why now? Why did they tolerate me so long before deciding to remove my account? Compared to other things I've posted there this one is cheesecake.

OBAMA'S EULOGY, JOHN MCCAIN AND THE DEATH OF THE RADICAL LEFT

President Barack Obama praises the late Sen. Edward Kennedy in Boston.

Obama delivered a fine and moving eulogy for friend and kingmaker Ted Kennedy on a dreary day of rain and tears one year and hour to the day when John McCain, on his 72nd birthday, introduced Sarah Palin as his running mate in last year's campaign. This was not by chance or happenstance. Time will show that McCain's defeat by the most radically leftist president in US history was necessary to bury the radical Left just as Kennedy today was laid to rest the victim of a LEFT-sided brain tumor. HONEST TED KENNEDY VS. OBAMA THE LIAR (SLIGHTLY REVISED)

The one moral trait that I most admired in Ted Kennedy, the man and politician, is totally lacking in Barack Obama: his near unfailing honesty*. Kennedy was a conviction politician and man of his word who stood on principle and boldly and fearlessly spoke the truth as he saw it, however destructively mistaken he was. While Obama is a gutless, lying, cowardly fool; a girlie man who hides his radical views-a spineless, immature, socialist dissembler who projects an aura of weakness, uncertainty and confusion. In this respect Ted Kennedy was a profile in courage worthy of praise; while Obama's lies are as long as his legs and his integrity's no bigger than his shoe size. Obama is Ted Kennedy, the Lion of the Left, reduced to a mental and moral mouse, a mouse who can't roar unable to transcend his spiritual smallness. How dare Chris Matthews say that "Obama is the last of the Kennedy brothers;" he's not even worthy to be a Ted Kennedy Mary Jo, Chappaquiddick, moral faults and all.

* Kennedy's slandering of Judge Bork during his Senate confirmation hearings and George Bush over the Iraq War (Bush lied) were disgusting, deplorable and self-demeaning. However, when compared to Obama Ted Kennedy is an honest Abe Lincoln. Despite his rigid opposition to Reagan's confrontational policies with the Soviets Kennedy was man enough to admit his mistake and praised Reagan for winning the Cold War; Obama's ideological hostility toward Reagan is such that he has refused to accord him this well deserved honor denying that America played a significant role in ending that conflict.

Postscript

At his last Townhall meeting our sick, compulsive liar of a president, who disgraces his person and office at every turn, had the audacity to tell his audience: "My greatest fault is that I'm truthful to a fault." Coming from a man who cares little for truth, and lives for the big lie of Socialism and his messiahood, this is one of the most infuriating falsehoods spoken by a US president since Clinton on Monicagate ("I never had sex with that woman"). All presidents and politicians lie, it's to be expected. However, the best of them will lie sparingly using it like poison and only when necessary; but the very worst and lowest will look you in the eye and say: "I will always be truthful and transparent with you" and shamelessly lie and lie and lie, betraying your trust and caring little what you think as if he were a contemptible nothing. Obama is a living, walking, breathing lie and the truth is catching up to him as more Americans see through his moderate guise and see how recklessly radical and dangerous he is*.
 
*A good example of Barack Obama unmasked, what he would say if he were perfectly honest, is Rep. Diane Watson of California who at a recent Townhall meeting praised Fidel Castro‘s communist health care system as a model for America and the world (see). With good reason Castro has praised Obama's domestic policies and sees in him an ideological brother as the two are die hard comrades in Socialism.

THE CANONIZATION OF TEDDY THE MARTYR

Speaking on a conference call with reporters today about Ted Kennedy's death, Senator Christopher Dodd, himself a victim of cancer, said that " He [Kennedy] had remained actively engaged in the current heath care debate even as he was physically failing."

There it is just as we expected: Ted Kennedy was a martyr to his cause heroically indifferent to his failing health, selflessly battling unto death for health care justice. But not content with his martyrdom Dodd takes Kennedy's "sacrificial" death a step further and says:

"Even though there is a lot of ranting and raving going on right now, I think things will calm down, and [Kennedy's] spirit will be very much a part of it. It certainly has been over the last couple of months."

The Catholic Church lacks a specific saint for health and wellness, but the Church of Liberalism now has one: St. Teddy the Martyr, the guiding spirit and patron saint of the great medical reformation or transforamtion rallying the legion of blessed angels to invisibly assist Obama in winning over a skeptical nation on the government option and health care justice for all.

Postscript I

Liberals are now dreaming that they're back in 1965, that Ted Kennedy is the dead JFK and Obama LBJ; and like LBJ he will succeed in using sympathy for Kennedy's death to garner support for ObamaCare. But Ted Kennedy was not JFK, he did not have one eighth of his brother's charisma, stature and standing when he died. This is not due simply to Mary Jo, his drinking problems, divorce and troubled life; take these away and what remains is his radical, un-American* left wing politics which disgusts most Americans and is far removed from his brother's patriotic nationalism and belief in American exceptionalism. No. Ted Kennedy is a greatly diminished JFK, a shrunken version of his brother lacking his popularity, magic and national appeal; and this is why Obama and the Dems will fail to turn back the clock to the sixties and use Kennedy's death and canonization to advance their immoral and destructive cause of socialized medicine.

*Kennedy's Socialism and egalitarian politics were un-American.

Postscript II: Added August 27th

Meredith Jessup writing in yesterday's TH said: "The #1 Internet search today on Google Trends: Mary Jo Kopechne.  In fact, 4 of the top 10 searches are related to the Chappaquiddick incident.  This isn't quite the narrative the media is telling today.."

Very true. Unlike his two brothers the media and the Left will fail in their attempt to turn Ted Kennedy into a national icon and rallying point for health care reform. The little brother will remain the smallest of the three a damaged icon of the Left useles for advancing their insane agenda of heathcare depression* and national suicide.

THE DEATH OF TED KENNEDY: MARTYR FOR HEALTHCARE REFORM? OR TRIBUTE TO AMERICAN MEDICINE?

Writer Locutisprime on the Borg Perspective blog is worried about the Democrats turning Ted Kennedy into a liberal martyr and using his death to pass healthcare reform with a government option or a co-op-tional illusion (see).

Locutisprime writes:

"Now that he has died, watch for the two week wake and the revisiting of the Kennedy legacy as not seen in decades. Yes, they will attempt to make this into the end of Camelot, but more importantly, they will attempt to wrap their fallen hero in a blanket of modern day martyrdom. And what better tribute to the lion of the senate, than to push through the Obama health care reform bill, which will now become the Kennedy health care bill.

On the one hand, Obama's health care bill was all but dead as of yesterday, but that was yesterday. Now with Kennedy dead, the liberal left will see this as their chance to guilt trip America into buying this pig of a piece of legislation through the martyrdom of Ted Kennedy. And if we are not careful, those who remain in the senate will pass the bill along and attempt to claim that they have accomplished something for the American people and for the Kennedy legacy. I say no thank you. You can leave me out of it. And you can leave my kids out of it too. "

Let us be clear about this: on the issue of health care reform Kennedy was Barack Obama naked to the bone, unequivocally calling for a radical revolution to gut the present system and replace it with TOTALITARIAN MEDICINE: a tyrannical, oppressive, universal government run single payer system of inhumane, heartless, unconscionable rationing, long queuing lines for surgical procedures and socialist death panels for the elderly.

As for the Left turning Kennedy's demise into a glorious "martyrdom" for health care reform, his death was unrelated to his quest.  He died from brain cancer, a degenerative disease, and didn't martyr or sacrifice his life for anything, let alone health care reform.

Moreover, Kennedy's death cannot be blamed on our health care system. As much as the Left would like to they can't use Kennedy's death (like they did Chris Reeve's on stem cell research) to shame our system by claiming that it somehow failed him. If it weren't for the current system, and the quality treatment he received, Kennedy would have died much sooner-shortly after his first attack-not living to see Barack Obama make it to the presidency. The 465 days that were added to Kennedy's long life are a tribute to American medicine, the best and most innovative in the world.

OBAMA, BERNANKE AND THE GREAT DEPRESSION

Today August 25, 2009* is the ominous day Barack Obama, the Great Depressor, reappointed Ben Bernanke the failing Federal Reserve chief to a second four year term (which begins February 1st); and the White House announced unemployment numbers and future deficits far worse than previously expected. This is not a day that bodes well for the economy and Obama's reelection prospects. For it was 193 days ago last February that the Democratically controlled Senate passed Obama’s Friday the 13th Stimulus Horror Bill-a monstrosity of pork and political payoffs that had more to do with secretly redesigning our economy into a stifling statist tyranny than with its stated purpose of growth, job creation and economic recovery. Drawing on lessons from FDR’s failed New Deal and Japan’s disastrous stimulus experiments of the 90s ("the Lost Decade") most Conservatives weren’t fooled about the nature and impact of Obamanomics and rightly warned America to expect the worst.

*August 25, 1812 is the day British forces torched Washington and burned the White House to the ground.
Now what is significant about the number 193 is that it’s a factor of the number 1930 (10x). This denotes the second year of the Hoover recession when unemployment hit 9% and when a hapless Herbert Hoover, the progressive big government tax and spend liberal, started an international trade war with the signing of Smoot Hawley-which pushed the ailing economy into a deep and agonizing depression. Moreover, 1930 was also the year that Hoover signed into law a massive public works program to jolt the economy (another Keynesian failure) and when the Bank of the United States collapsed triggering an epidemic of bank failures. More than 1929 when the stock market suffered its worse crash in US history, 1930 was the start of our worst and longest economic crisis aggravated and prolonged by Hoover’s successor FDR-a great man born to fight a world war but not to fix a broken economy. Now we have a president whose ignorance of economics exceeds FDR’s but who lacks the head, heart and stomach for war-except against American power, prosperity and exceptionalism. Obama and destiny are turning the White House into a virtual hell house and his presidency into a catastrophe for the nation and Democratic Left*. In short, Obama is the second coming of Herbert Hoover and much, much worse (see my essay: Barack Obama: Herbert Hoover Reborn).

*Leftist critics of Reaganomics (which ended stagflation and sent the economy soaring) called it “trickle down economics;” but Obamanomics today is a TRICKLE DOWN DISASTER soon to become an avalanche. 

Postscript I: 1920 and 1932
 
Today's reappointment of Bernanke comes 160 days before the start of his second term on February 1st. 160 is a factor of the historically significant number 1920 (12x); significant because it denotes the year that Democrats lost the presidency to Warren Harding a man who ended a great recession with double digit unemployment and unleashed the economic miracle of the roaring 20s by lowering taxes on the employer class, reducing government regulations and cutting Federal spending. 
 
Indeed, as Obama’s hopes for a second term fade-his first day in office was his best and will reamin that way-it is interesting to note that Herbert Hoover was a one term president losing his office to FDR in 1932. What I find interesting here is that Obama’s reappointment of Bernanke comes exactly 42 months after his appointment by Bush. This number 42 is a multiple of 14 (3x), the number of Bernanke’s chairmanship (he’s the 14th Fed chief). Now as Bernanke’s policies have blatantly failed to halt the recession and turn it around, with severe inflation on the horizon due to his outrageous monetary policies, he is, so it seems, practically ensuring a one term presidency for Obama. Ironically, the numbers 14 and 42 are factors of the number 1932 the year of Hoover’s crushing defeat by Roosevelt*.

The difference between the Hoover Depression and the coming Obama Depression is that the first was deflationary while the latter will likely be inflationary. The Hoover Depression was principly caused by the Federal Reserve contracting the money supply and raising interest rates, while the cause of the coming Obama Depression is the Feds debasing the currency by printing massive sums of money.

* February 1, 2006 (Bernanke’s appointment by Bush) to August 25, 2009= 3 years and 6 months or 42 months. It is important to note that Bernanke predicted in 2005 that there would be no recession.

Postscript II: The 217th Day
 
Obama's announcement of Bernanke's reappointment as Fed chief on a day of dire economic news, and Senator Kennedy's death (b. 1932) from a LEFT-sided brain tumor*, landed on the 217th day of his presidency. Amazingly, the number 217 gives us the date 2-17 or February 17th the day of infamy when Obama signed into law the failing and phony American Recovery and Reinvestment Act-without so much as reading it.

SOCIALISM OR BUST!

Socialism, the ideology of radical equality, is the political, religious and philosophical reason driving Barack Obama's ill-fated life*. The socializing of America is his great passion, purpose and goal. Without Socialism his life would have little value, worth or meaning; he'd be a man in the wilderness broken and lost. To retreat from his plans to socialize our country would mean surrendering his soul to purposelessness, emptiness and despair; it would mean his intellectual, spiritual and moral death. It would mean a failed presidency for him; the collapse of his utopian ideals, the foolish dream of justice that he lives for**.

For Obama the way is clear: it's SOCIALISM OR BUST. If his plans meet with public resistance he and his allies in Congress-Pelosi, Frank, Kennedy and Reid-will not back down or retreat into defeat; on the contrary, they will recklessly plow ahead, with or without the American people, rushing blindly into the socialist future heedless of the political costs and damage to our land. This is irresponsible and dangerously mad, but that is Obama the man.

This is the great defining moment for remaking America; for fundamental and foundational change; for irrevocably breaking with the capitalist past, and Obama won't let it go to waste. It's now or never; do or die; today we stand or fall. That is Obama's firm conviction, that is what he thinks. This means trouble for our country; it means civil turmoil and political strife as the forces of Socialism will not forgo their insane cause without a fight. The nature of the fight will be decided by Obama and his friends. But however he chooses to advance his plans Obama will lose in the end, for we are millions.

As I said elsewhere (see): Obama's middle name "Hussein" is a sign of his self-destructive intransigence, his tragic ideological flaw; the flaw that will wreck the radical Left and take them and the Democrats straight into hell. This is the end of Socialism in America. After Obama the curtain will fall.
 
*Obama's Christainity is the Social Gospel of Liberation Theology which politicizes the apolitical Christ of the Gospels and sees him as a blindly compassiolnate socialist. If God were a socialist he would have made us all the same, intellectual and moral equals, and provided for our needs from cradle to grave making us his slaves and keeping us in a childish, immature state.

Tom Ridge's "revelation" in his upcoming book that as Homeland Security chief under George Bush he was "pressured to raise the terror alert to help Bush defeat Kerry in the 04 race" is just so much bunk. Just prior to Election Day Osama bin Ladin issued a video tape threatening terrorist revenge on all red states if America dared to defy him and reelect Bush-who had crushed al Qaida as a global entity and made bin Ladin's life miserable. Given the massive pre-election terrorist strike in Madrid on 3-11-04*, and the more horrific 9/11 attack, there was ample cause for Bush to be alarmed and raise the threat level to high risk just before Election Day. The order was never given. Ridge is lying. End of story.
 
*The bombing occurred three days before Spain's general election.
 
Postscript:
 
Bin Ladin's insertion on October 29th late into the 04 campaign was no small electoral gift for Bush as it reminded America of 9/11, 3/11 and Kerry's weak military and national security credentials.

In the conflict over ObamaCare the CBO and Warren Buffet* have clearly drawn the battle lines: on one side is the growing army of rightly frightened Americans-including Buffet and CBO-opposing Obama's reckless plans for bankrupting America and turning us into "a banana republic." On the other side are the Obamacons: the shrinking number of deluded and deranged Americans ready to plunge with Obama into the abyss of financial, economic and health care suicide. Sane Americans oppose ObamaCare; insane Americans support it. The battle lines are drawn. Which side are you on?
 
*Buffet is known as "the Oracle of Omaha" and was born on August 30, 1930 in the midst of the Great Depression. Buffet's warning is one of many dire signs, along with Burris, Kaufman, Pelosi, Hoyer, Reid, Kennedy, Feinstein and the deaths of supply-siders Jack Kemp and Robert Novak* (all Depression born), just where Obama is taking this country (see DEPRESSION BORN DEMOCRATS AND RINOS ).

HR 3200 ON ONE PAGE

They said that such a feat was humanly impossible, but I have done it. With everyone clamoring for a health care reform bill written on three simple easy to read pages I have done better. Unaided by any attorney I have read through HR 3200 in its entirety and managed to reduce it in all its complexity to one single page. Click here and marvel at my a-maze-ing achievement.
